Hi,
what do you think, is this just coincidence or collusion of 2 cheaters.
At the merge Network , I play through BigbetPoker, I have observed several time players playing together on Doube or Nothing SNGs.
I have reported these situations to BBP and got always the same answer: no collusion
Actual you will find very often 2 players in 3$ DoNs: RealBeast and Leoooh
- Both play at this moment exclusivly these 3$ Dons - Both players are from the same country - Romania - Leoooh only played the last 200 SNGs when also Realbeast has been on the same table, no single table without the other - If one is Bigstacked, one is smallstacked, the bigstack raises on the BB of the Smallstacked and if nobody calls, the BB reraises and the bigstack folds - if one of them are in the SB bigstacked and the other is auto in the BB, the SB gives a walk...
Would you say, this is all coincidence and normal, or at least suspect and worth for further investigation?

Definitely suspicious, but take it easy and try reporting first. You need to contact support with the nicknames of those players. They will look into the matter. On the other hand the profit they could make is really, really small so it may not be so likely after all.

like doomdy said u can easily cheat and its hard to prove, so site probably cant do anything unless they have definite proof. best thing you can do is use it to your advantage or avoid them .

Maybe they are know each other away from the poker site. Maybe they are friends. But that doesn't make it collusion. Sometimes friends like to play each and usually one gets to gloat at the other. This can lead to softplay or sometimes tougher play as they know each other's styles or they may want to make a point whenever they clash.
If bigbet have looked it and they are satisfied then it's probably nothing too bad. It doesn't work in their favour to allow cheats as it devalues their reputation among clients and it generates more rake to win by skill over a long period than to win by cheating.
I am however surprised that given the amount of games these two share that bigbet has not banned them from playing together as this is within their power collusion or not. There was someone on this forum a while back complaining that he and his friend had been banned from playing in the same sng or cash table except heads up, even though they were not accused of cheating. it is better for the site to be safe than sorry.

I understand your description. Send me a PM with the usernames to investigate if this is needed.
We go for fair play and absolutely do not encourage nor accept cheating on our poker client or website. Therefore, we do appreciate any report of suspicious acting of other players.
You guys are our eyes on the tables... so if you feel it is suspicious to you and others, please contact support or even myself so we can investigate further if needed.
Cheers,
Melanie

as has been said already, DoNs are particularly susceptible to collusion. Unfortunately it is difficult to prove, but if you report it whenever you suspect it, in the end it should hopefully catch up with them and if you're lucky maybe even get some $ back..

Yeah....def collusion. I have 3 friends who do this kind of stuff regulary on 1$ sngs...not dons, but still...I was asked a couple of times to play with them, but I don't like this shady plays and didn't do it ..that is why I mostly play MTTs now and sometimes 1.40$ knockout on ps...but never ever DONs as I kinda think they're retarded..If you know how to play...u should stick to regular SNGs, not DONs...

Yep, this looks fishy. But it will be difficult to prove. Player base at Merge is low enough for this to be just coincidence, or at least for the room to say so. Just avoid to play with those guys.

These things a worrying, since I make substancial parts of my profits through DoNs. A good solution would be, as someone wrote, just to ban them from playing at the same tables, without actually accusing them of anything, just to be sure.

It is not the first nor the last time that Romanians do that kind of play. Ive noticed that about sng's and most tournaments, long time ago. And they dont do it only in the merge network. They keep talking their language and they even have the nerve to discuss their cards while in play. All that of course in their native language. I have translated many times their chats while playing and its easy as 123 to say they are on this together. On sng's though they hardly speak but i bet for sure they use some chat program to stay connected. And especially in merge its not hard to prove its a collusion, and i cant find a reason why they dont take measures against them.
I quoted tomboogy on what he said and his location is one more proof about some romanians I dont want to be misunderstood though cause i dont speak for the majority of them
