I have taken a poker quiz or two online, and have come to the fact that I suck at poker. I have failed almost every test I have taken. LOL. By the way---If I have pocket 66 and the flop brings another 6---don't think for a minute that I will be folding my hand. Tests I have taken claim one should fold such a hand if betting comes at you all in strong on a JH 10H 6C flop. I just don't see not calling an all in. Only two possible hands could possibly have me beat. J J or 10 10. All other hands are draw hands. So, 66 with 6 on the flop with no instant straights or flushes possible on board----sorry---I'm not folding to an all in for nothing. I have won more money on trips on the flop than any other poker hand. Now a test says I should have been folding my trips all this time???? I can assure you---I have WON 9 times out of 10 with hidden lower trips. If I hit trips on the flop with pocket pair----it's game on. LOL You can fold your pocket pair trips on the flop if you want with no possible flush or straight on board. I will------------------- NEVER!!!!

even tho i dont trust these tests but i just wanna say there's no fixed way of playing a hand if u hit something. if u keep playing same way people will notice what you hit before you can notice urself. folding/calling/raising depends on lots of other factors too, not just hand strength.

the only wrong action on that flop would be a check / fold / call .. it's raise raise raise, make those draws pay. And if it's better set / gg
Pfft, seriously, poker is waaay too complicated to ever be expressed correctly in a quiz.. It's a game of information and this information is never presented in it's entirety in a quiz question.

I disagree, you can make a good quiz, if you define the questions and situations very carefully. Most of the quiz are just painfully stupid, thats the problem.
If a certain move is the best option in 9 out of 10 times, you should know what this move is and you should follow it, because in 90% of the time it is the right thing to do.
But folding a set of 666 on a JH 10H 6C flop is really some stupid thing to do. Of course there might be some trouble with flush and straight draws and you should be aware of that, but why would you lay down the best hand???
Never open this quiz again, thats the best thing to do in 10 out of 10 times

OMFG! Who would fold a set on the flop! For the infrequent number of times you will be playing set vs. set, I would call an all-in with bottom set. Even if somebody is pushing with some kind of draw you can still fill up and beat that. GL

lol.... me i have passed a quiz at poker strategy, they say they would offer $50 to anyone that would pass it... and indeed i passed the quiz... but after a couple of days they told me that i'm not entitled to the $50 they promised because our country is not eligble for the offer... it sucks... coz they never had any restrictions given before i took the quiz... uhhhhmmmm... its definitely not right...

You either don't give all the info here or the quiz is plain stupid. A big enough raise to make sure you're not giving too high implied odds is definitely the right move.
