Hi everybody. when I downloded celeb poker and the machine was installing celeb poker. Something really bad happened... AVG suddenly found some malware and removed the EXE. file into the virus vault. I trust my security provider AVG so much that I have to make further investigation just to find out if celeb poker programme is actually some kind of malware...... Help me someone. hopefully AVG is wrong, but I have never seen AVG be wrong before.

I got this mail from celeb poker: Thank you for your e-mail. This is something that has occurred more often and unfortunately happens with all the iPoker clients for no explainable reason. The software does not contain any type of virus, and the iPoker network has been trying to get rid of the error for over a year now.----- -and thats the answer, puh.
Thanks for your reply

This isn't unusual for poker clients. I wouldn't stress about it.
I'd imagine it's just to do with their security protocols, must trigger something in the AV software.. It's not that these .exe's are actually blacklisted as malicious, it's just something in their scripting fits a certain pattern in the malware detector..
I wouldn't be so alarmed and AV software can DEFINITELY be wrong - this is why they come up with windows allowing you to choose an action - and determine if you trust the software yourself.
celeb poker is correct my spyware and my mcafee sicurity always find stuff in ipoker software specially 770 , dont sweat it,, as for avg antivirus , sure it will do a job but never as good as mcafee or most anti-virus that you pay for, freebies are freebies and limited, just remove what you dont like however this sometimes can lead to a reinstall situation
