But these scenes are always left out of the film because of some damned Gambling Commission censorship... AAAAAAAWWWW!

It is then that Your wife starts to get interrested in what You have been doing all day long at the computer, and so she will find out about your poker accounts and can then withdraw the money..

It goes as always, the rich capitalist gets richer and if your next of kins sue the capitalist then the lawyers (thus another capitalists) get richer. Life is hard and then you die. Then you float in whatever state and suddenly see a man and woman having sex and realize it's another round of misery and suffering ahead of you.. unless you re-incarnate in some lower realm as an animal (how about a dungworm, no money worries!), a hungry ghost or a spirit in hell (be ready for absurd buy-ins and rigged games in local tournaments..)

I did give an honest and serious answer and you all ignored it in favour of mystery and intrigue.
The truth is it is NOT an interesting question or even a good one. It'd just be standard policy, as with EVERYWHERE else that holds peoples money. When somebody dies the executor of the estate/will (generally spouse, family, etc) gain control of the estate and are able to cease any financial assests.
All legitimate poker rooms would have a standard policy in place. I've worked in finance before, it's pretty straight forward. You have the deceased's executor send in a death certificate or something of that nature and you either transfer the relevant account into that name or you release any holdings to them.
I assure you all this wouldn't be some mysterious thing, especially in a room the size of poker stars, this obviously happens quite a lot. So long as the family members are aware there is a poker account, they would be able to gain control of the funds.
In the case the family isn't aware, if it was a large enough account the poker room would probably try and chase it up. Otherwise, eventually as somebody else as mentioned, in-activity policy would kick in and they would do whatever with the money as per that clause (I think PKR actually has a charity for ceased funds).

Great question! Quite sure that this has already happened a lot of times and I think that the pokerroom will keep the money, unless that a familymember logs in and cashout.

Now, this is funny, but I dont think this is true story. CDPoker doesnt exist anymore, they merged with William Hill poker, so I doubt that CDPoker live chat still exist.

As morbid as it is, I was wondering the same thing. In the end, you should let the executor of your will know how to withdraw the money from your account. Why tell the poker site? I don't trust these sites very much, even the big ones.

I don't lie in general and above all no need to lie about such easy matters

Ok, magatt966, I did not know that CDPoker is still active room. I had account at CDP and is closed months ago, so I taught CDP is merged with WHP completely.

Why not? How does the poker room knows that somebody died? If the funds are withdrawn from within the pokerroom client soft to a credit card or Moneybookers, how do they know that it is not an account owner?
but if he did not did his first withdrawal b4 he died , she must send the id ... and i don't think she will still have them ..
