Poker Avatar  0
Hi all! I was wondering if you use your own avatar when playing poker instead of the choice made available by the poker site, and whether or not there is an intent behind your choice. For instance, my poker avatar is champion skateboarder Stu Graham showing off his bashed up teeth and crazy eyes. I find that if I raise preflop with this avatar, people will fold more often than when I switch it to one from the poker site. Let me know what you think!

I have limited controll over my brain im unable to convince myself its just a picture so have to turn of the avatars, however I do always think the opposit of a pic if I do see one, IE the guy with the shark avatar is obviously a fish.
I do like to use names that make people think tho.

Avatars, pictures and other gimmicks are the first things i turn off in a new poker software. So i don't mind this stuff.

poker is a game of infos, so everything can be useful to know something more about your oppos expecially if you meet them for the first time in a MTT or similar;
agree about the shark (means fish) avatar and the opposite as well (beware of donks).
I use put attention to nicknames like pippo88 or tizio75 cause I can guess something about oppo's age: it is another useful info.
anyway I don't give much relevance to these things but consider them as little pieces of a puzzle.

hi

in my opinion an avatar would be an image that you like it, more than a picture to intimidade or whateaver you wanna get with it, but i love avatars who can had a 2nd read by your opponents

for example, my avatar on pokerstars is the super mario green 1-up mushroom, its a picture i really love it, and by the way, its an image at the table that make feel like i never can get beaten, because y had an extra life by eating my mushroom ( it would be nice if that was true !!! Smile )

i think an avatarshould be also sonething like a photo youlike a lot, like your son, someone of you family... we spent lots of time at poker tables so an avatar its the image you will see al the time you`re plaing poker, so you shoul like it a lot, think well on that!

1. Turn off avatars.
2. Choose four-color deck
3. Choose the most simple layout
These are the first steps I take on every pokerroom.

I was thinking the same; I believed his avatar was an actor playing an horror movie like zombie or night of living dead Big Smile Big Smile As regards the second one, better not to tell her this or you could be injuried by an anonimous car Tongue

I do not use any avatars and switch of them ... I tried to use the pretty female on (the world riggest pokersite) FTP, hopping that they think a nice lady only pushes with a monster... but seems every single man wanted to play with me and sucking me out...

I totally agree. I like to concetrate only in cards and other players. Especially when multitabling you don't have time for other things.
