So i was watching tht skypoker channel few days back and they were discussing this situation (except the gimmicks ):
u are playing on final table of wsop main event ( ok u can stop daydreaming now )
first hand u are big blind and when u peek at ur cards, u find it hard to believe u been dealt aces but no1 seems interested in calling and they all fold to small blind , who without any hesitation shoves all his stack into pot. ( yeah the cards u saw were urs only, not his and no u cant request a drug test on him)
ok now the serious question: wud u call his allin raise with ur AA ?
Yes/No and Why/Whynot
************************************************ btw they had a poll somewhere and 76% ppl opted for call

course i'd call. it's impossible to be behind and even with nothing else in the pot it's +ev. But I would not be happy bout it.
it would be so horrible to go out first hand and since there's no need to double up early the risk however small is too big. You could fold this hand and it would only cost you a tiny big blind. You're no more less likely to get aces again in the next few hands. it is no doubt better to play tight when the blinds are small and take risks when the pot is big.
But having said that, anything except aces I could fold. Even kings. logic says fold but if you fold aces you'd be mad.

Why not? Easy double up, if you get sucked out you die as a Hero! Double up is by far more +EV than trying to survive and hope someone gets eliminated first and grant you a bigger prize. Big money is on top 3, if you are short, you'll need to get chips to have a chance.
You have 3 options: call, go all in or never folding. Never fold AA, unless you are playing the bubble of a big satellite, a bigger stack than you is allin and you are not the shortest stack in play.

Interessting is ALL players have gone all-in.
I'm guessing using ICM the correct move would be fold ? assuming everyone stack sizes the same of course.. If you were CL - then snap call again. Since you're still guaranteed 2nd.
My reason is: Since it is the final table at the WSOP, I KNOW I'm pretty much the fish at the table. Everybody is way better than me, and they will soon have a feeding frenzy on me. So, getting my chips in with AA against one player; I can't hope for a much better situation.

against a lone player, there isn't any reason you wouldn't call with rockets on your hand... in any given situation, i think; with only 1 player to beat...

lol what a stupid question for what a hand you are waiting to call an all in you are in the money when it was a few places before you get money then you can talk about to fold aces or not . I hate it to get strong cards like AA or KK and you get a suck out after 2 or 3 hours of play and go out with no money a few places before money but when you are in the money it´s a stupid question to ask fold aces pre flop

I guess I would have called, closed my eyes, crossed my fingers and hoping for just one more ace to relax a bit.... Pokerface? No Then I probably would have waked up understanding it was just a dream, me at final WSOP table
