Hi all. I would like to know what poker books (or videos) you have read, which ones you recommend (or don't) and why. My favourite poker book so far is David Sklansky's "The Theory of Poker". This book changed the way that I look at poker hands as well as poker in general. A bit of a dry read and derided by the latest generation of poker players as old fashioned, I feel it still offers a lot of useful insight and information. Looking forward to your responses!

Agree, the Doyle's Super System is a must! A little old because poker has changed since he wrote it but, it has all that's essentially important in poker.

I have read 2 oh Phil Hellmuths books they were his first 2 and im not sure if he has any more or not. I read his 1st book when i was a kid im 20 now and it helped my game alot. Then he had the bad beats and draw book and it was great. I would recommend both books both were a good read.

Just finished reading Barry Greenstein's "Ace on the River". I like Barry, he is one of my favorite pros, but unless you are a fan I wouldn't recommend this book. Since I like him, it made for an interesting read, just not a lot of advanced poker theory. Next book is going to be Brunson's Super System, a friend of mine just lent it to me.
