A few days ago Gaupiz posted a thread about how VC has 10c giveaway SNGs going. I was intrigued and signed up with VC and started playing. A few years ago Chris Ferguson challenged himself to start at $0, play freerolls until he had cash and run it up to $10,000. I am going to try something similar. I have been playing at VC for 4 days and have amassed the astounding sum of $0.84! As I am primarily a full stack cash game player, my strategy is to play the freerolls until VC says ENOUGH (90 days for new members), take my cash and start playing for pennies. Anybody want to follow along is welcome. For the first three months I will only post once a week my total, but when the cash games start the posts might be more frequent. Getting ready to place my order with Ferrari.

Okay, week#2 is over and the grand total is (drum roll please) $2.45. When I saw this much money I almost withdrew it all so that I could buy a couple packs of gum, but then I thought "Minty fresh breath for a few days, or 2xFerrari?" Very tough choice but I am sticking with the program. I wonder how the change to Entraction will affect VC, guess we'll all have to wait and see. Enough for now, back in a week.

good job madhrof ....well done
....and wise choice as well between gums and ferrari; about your breath: try to talk as less as possible and everytime you can answer yes or not by only moving your head
FYI: on the tablet of the left ferrari there is written "MINKIA" that is a way (in southern italy slang) to say d**k

Thanks Magatt, I should have realized this as eight of my coworkers are Calabrian, and I have heard this word a few times!

Posted by danidoyle: haha ill follow you as well, i dont know how you do it tho, i get so bored playin for that little money!! best of luck with your challlenge
Thanks Dani! I normally have these penny tournaments going on my laptop while I multitable my big monitor next to it. Whatever attention I am able to give them is what they get, often it comes to shove or fold, after all it's just a few coppers! Next two weeks it will be tough for me to find the time tho, maybe the blonde and the ferraris will take a few weeks longer than I thought!
I only have a question. Why do you do that? It is wasting time. Maybe the best you can do is - start 10 of these sng's and sitout it. I think, that in four of them, maybe five, you will finish ITM. And thats money for nothing.
I played one SNG - to get used to VC software, and sitout from start made it to second But it was terrible, you cant even play poker there.

I can't belive how long it took you to gather 1$. I played around 1h on VC the 10 cent give away and I gathered 30c.... It's so easy to gather there 1$~ And also going them to entraction will change much. Don't know if you're sng or cash player but if cash on entraction lowest limit is NL4. So it's even harder to make there bankroll from less then 10€ (i made from the 10€ on Youwin). So you need to play some more and use the time well until it will go to entraction software. Good luck with it cause time is chasing you.

It's purely for the challenge. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I have my main sites I play at, and whatever games I can get in on this VC challenge so be it. I am definitely not going to "grind" these tourneys!
Zmx - Whatever happens with this happens, it won't change my life (or will it?). With a full time job occupying 50 hours a week, two growing kids and all the responsibilities that come with that and owning a home as well as a small apple farm, poker is just nice relaxation at the end of the day. When I was 21 I had a lot more time available to me to do what I want!

Ok, if you are having fun, why not So GL to your challenge. And have a fun - it is the most important thing while playing poker

Week #3 is over and the total is $3.80. Again this coming week I won't have much time for poker in general, but I am on pace for a bankroll of about $15 - $16. Not bad, many free bankrolls here at BRM are not bigger than that. Let me see now, what can I buy for $3.80....Hot Wheels Ferrari! Have a good week!

Week 4 is done and the total is $5.17. I had been looking foward to returning to iPoker action through this freeroll and VC, so I am a little apprehensive about the move to Entraction. Hopefully these ten cent SNGs will continue until I reach my 90 day limit, and then I will give you a trip report on this Entraction network as I start to play cash games. I had never heard of them up until 2 weeks ago. The ultimate goal is still the same...
