Will a Spanish player win EPT Barcelona?  0
6 of 24 spanish players remaining in EPT Barcelona. It's 1/4! I'm sure one of them, at least, will reach the final table. But ... do you believe some of them will win the championship? Spanish poker level is growing up!

Okay DaMessiah666. I changed my avatar to back the Spanish team! My parents are from a small mountain village close to Valencia, so I always cheer for Spain, especially in WORLD CUP! GL! Smile

Good!! I'm from Barcelona. I'm working close to Barcelona's Casino, where it takes place EPT. At night the mood is spectacular! I have family in Sueca (Valencia) too.

Yes when you think like 1/4 of the players it looks kinda a lot but all others nationality work "together" against.
I think spanish player won't win it.

will be very hard... spanish do not care a lot of maths and numbers (just look at the state financial crises), oh right, if this would be a criteria, Americans should stop to play Poker also Big Smile Cool

Yes, final table reached. But only 1 spanish at the table, Jesus Cortes Lizano. No countries repeated so it will be a good challenge. It will be nice to be a spanish winner Agree

------------
Oh my god! Second one! Jesus Cortes Lizano has finished second place winning €525,000! Congratulations and maybe next time we will have a spanish player as the winner Big Smile

I watch today EPT Barcelona final table and this spaniard Lizano kicked out some italian guy. Italian had AK, Lizano had AQ, they went all-in preflop and Lizano hit Q on river. Lucky fish he is.

25% of probabilities is nice, but that doesnt mean they will make all the way to the end, they are more because they are playing at home. Try to count the number of spanish players in competitions outside Spain.

In Poland, I met a large group of Spaniards. With one of them I played and lost. He had a lot of luck: P. Also, a lot depends on that. Blink

ofcourse that will be so much spain players in barcelona, but thats beacuse you dont have to travel anywhere, dont have to spend money on airplane, hotel and everything else!when you are at home, you spend on buy in and maybe some little stuffs, but nothing else like other players from rest of world!
