I don't know if this is good advice. But when I get JJ in a fullring game, I usually play them like a middle pair, not a high pair. If the flop comes with one overcard, and I have only one or two opponents, I assume I have the best hand. If they disagree, I revaluate.
JJ is hard. I have learned to let it go much easier now, than when I started to play.

JJ is a good starting hand, lots of people shy away from it, fold FTA LOL yer JJ is just that bad of a hand LOL, im raising mine, nothing stupid normall x3 or x4 dont over value, after flop play like a small pair, keep the pot low, only call small raises or re-raises. Know your villans ranges, if you can place him/her on a hand you can make a bit more or save a bit more. No over cards on the flop WOOOO great bet big, worst cases here is set or bigger pockets, ahhh what can you do, well you can have a good read, watch out for flat callers look at what they could be playing with (board texture) Got it to HU, then great, but et ohh an over card....but dont worry make a bet see if he hit it or not, most of the time you will take the pot here.(c-bet half pot, give yourself a chance to get away) All above is for cash games, if in a tourn things are a little diffrent depending on structure, ranking et etc, but mainly ill play them a bit harder, even all in eairly stages as there tends to be a lot of weak players around then and will stack off with much worse. Next time you win with JJ, you owe me half the pot

Good post Big, JJ is a good but not great starting pocket, and you have to listen to your poker instincts when your raise gets called, ace flops out and you're getting reraised. It is sweet though when Mr. AK flops an ace but a J gives you a set - ooooooooh - FIREWORKS BABY!

i agree good starting hand but i wouldn be 100% pot committed! u shud have a feel for the bets a player is making at a table whether they have a better hand according to the flop!

Often we think they are donks but JJ is not so high hand as we can think. Obviously is better than K3 or A7 but not too better. Sometimes people that you name donks may be people who read perfectly your game and know they can get a great pot with A-crap or K-Q. Personally ... I also hate JJ. Because of that, I play this hand very carefully.

Not difficult now in your town, isn't it? We are here in Barcelona over 5C degrees and I'm cold all the day! I cannot imagine living there ... probably I'd be dead!

It just happened again. My JJ losses against A 7.
Some advice here?
I think that JJ is not so fantastic. With this card you play strongly tight to end. Or just check before the flop and after flop: attack or check/pass. Prefers the first option, but in only late position .

jj is 95.6% a folder for me, only ever comes off very rarely on small stakes. donks will always call with an ace or king high and hit something, especially on bigbet .

I think JJ is a good starting hand to raise with, but have to be played carefully if you are called and an overcard shows on the flop. In this case, i would raise as a semi-bluff, but don't go much far from here if i'm raised. Of course, knowing your villain will add up some points when evaluating a specifica situation.

Dont 3 bet with JJ, in my opinion you should make even stronger bet pre flop to doesnt allow the fish to take a piece of the flop. In case they hit the flop, make sure you made them pay well for the oportunity. Thats how it works, they call crap, but doesnt slowplay any hand, try to play agressive pre flop.
