I think its wrong that 2 thumbs down blocks (HIDES) a post even if it is rude or insulting which my 2 posts that got blocked were not!,, just because someone and there boyfriend doesnt like what you say (about there beging post)lol,,,,2 strikes should not get the post blocked ,, at least 5 I woukld say, even then an appeal to administration should be allowed, yes I know admin has enough to deal with but like I say just because 2 people dont like it dont strike it!!!we are all supposed to be grown ups here ,well most of us,so come on 5 at least I say that way it would be more democratic ,,,

not a big deal but if you read! the post its just not right that a bad post can get away with comments against it just by the poster and friend hiting the button twice,, and as for grown ups well am as grown up as I want to be thank you but youth is a curse and and a blessing my friend

2 thumbs down doesn't block your post. It just hides it. You can still view it by clicking show post anyway although this does make it pointless I suppose. But in my experience if you wrongly get thumbs down someone usually corrects it before your post is deleted. Nothing particularly bad happens when your post is hidden so I don't see a problem myself. The whole idea of the rating system is to hide offensive posts or posts, which break the rules and most of the time it works.

I do agree with you, but no reason to change the rating system. Just tell supprt or Tony and hopefully they will del with it
yes and yes , I know its just the principal of the thing,,,,I still think 5 is fairer,, then it would mean something rather than be just spiteful,,,I can hold my own in any forum conversation but if I am out of order which has been known to happen, fine block the post and view at your own discretion but hiding the post just because the poster and a boyfriend dont like it is wrong AND HERE WE GO 1 MORE THUMBS DOWN AND A POST IS HIDDEN i REST MY CASE,,

i wont direct u to the post as you have more important things to do,,we hope,lol,,,,but it strikes me that the who cares is the biggest pole result,,,,,,,,,,so much apathy in the world,,,bets there all under 30,,lol,,,,dont take drugs,,,give them to a deserving cause,,,,alcohol is better the pain in the morning on the way to work is a heavy cross to bear,,,lol

awood88 is right. 2 thumbs down doesn't delete or block your post, it just makes it so that you have to "click to see". I think if it has 4 or 5 thumbs down, it will only be possible for administration to see it. I don't remember if it's 4 or 5, luckily it's very rare we need it. But it's a way for us to encourage our members to help moderate the forum as we can't do it 24 hours a day and it works pretty well those few times where someone breaks the rules and we're not around to see it quickly.
If someone is down rating your posts, let us know and we'll look into it. the forum rating system is not for people to rate other people. if the content of your post doesn't deserve it and it's clear you're only getting thumbs down because it's you - then we will remove it and block that users access to rate in the future.
fine,, I agree with what you say , you do get my point however , that being that if you reply to a post it should not be hidden just because the party who posted said post and a friend decide to thumbs down the reply because they didnt like the reply?b or the person posting the reply?

I really shouldn't be wasting my time on something as unimportant as one post going from +2 to 0... but I'm doing it this time so that next time you get paranoid you can just close your eyes and get over it If you suddenly receive a bunch of on all of your posts then it's probably someone having something against you, but you only have a total of two (and not even from the same person) in the past two months....
