So i was thinking wouldnt it be cool if you could chat with a microphone online while your playing poker.They have microphones for online chat rooms for your xbox360 your ps3 so on and on. But why not online poker? What are some of your thoughts and opinions on this...i think it would be pretty neat.

Why not go the whole hog and stream video. It would be like playing live. I'm not seriously suggesting this. It would be ridiculous.
Honestly, I think it would be a bad idea. Anyone who had the mike turned on would be at a disadvantage allowing others to hear any expletives that should escape or unwanted sounds. Anyone who had sound turned off could also be theoretically disadvantaged.
Also I'm not a gamer and it kind of bugs me when people chat on xbox games. I dunno why but it seems less social. i know this sounds odd since you would think it is more social with those you are playing against but i see it as trading real friends for online friends and ignoring the people in the room with you. I'm already seen as a geek for playing poker and I don't need to give people any more reasons.
I know I'm being negative as the idea could have some positive factors but I don't think it would work on the whole.

Personally i think it would have to be a gimick thing to get people to the site, but i dont think it would catch on to strong... kinda like PKRpoker has done with being able to dress up your guy, give him accents and make him move and look at your cards. Just imagine all the immature things that would come along with it as well.

I think that microphone is not good idea but anyway I think that poker rooms should make special tables for playing with webcam on. Of course everyone on that tables must use webcam. And other players can report if they dont see player.

you havnt been playing online poker for long have you.......... this is a no no, to be blunt i think you should keep to your chat rooms, and xbox if you wanna chat and make friends, and not expect poker to follow in same suit, ever heard the word colluding, cause this would help it to be easy to do plenty of cheaters out there, this would make it easier for them to also abuse, racism swearing would be far too easy, who would regulate all the tables would need a mod for every table, so quite a silly question..... so many negative reasons why they should use micro phones for online poker,
i get the feeling all this is new to you bet you have just got skytype or a xbox or ps3, come on you can tell us and your excited by the technology which can make you new friends

Absolutely! Now that would require some imagination from those who use bots, they would have to come up with real bots to sit there and mimic human poker actions. Maybe simply a cardboard cutout of the Hulk or Batman, articulate some of the limbs, a few motor drives and a nice Phil Laak hoodie to conceal some of it and you are good to go. Just don’t put a bad beat on the Hulk, you won’t like him when he gets angry!

LOL forget midnight, think oliver082298 has a little crush.... At first I was thinking no, it would just be used for abuse, then IslandJack came along and changed my views, im quite happy to lose to them Top Pairs. I would only ever use a microphone whilst playing poker if sweating, outher than that it is a huge distraction. Here how I would sound..."you feeling sleepy...relax...fall deeper and deeper...re-load...enjoy losing...embrass it...want to do it more...re-load...move up stakes..."

yeah,i have to say that i would not want to play with a webcam,online is good because people cant see you laughing at them or sweating because you have just 4bet with 7-2off ,lol,no seriously dozn01 has a point about how u would need a mod at every table,how much more rake would that be,haha,u want live play,go to casino with friends or get all your friends to play via webcams and tell us what u thought about it,lol! i suppose i wouldnt mind playing with island jacks women though just to test it out,lol

I like it the way it is. People might be able to tell when you're lying for a start. Analyse stress levels etc. Bit harder when it is a few lines of text.

No way.... I wouldn't want to hear all of the kids who got some bad beat and is screaming and insulting others.... On Xbox you're mostly cooperating with other players in Poker... you're not. Not mostly ofc ^^

cant remember the site but it has been done having live chat while playing, however I think its a horrible idea do we really want to hear all the verbal abuse from certain players after all its bad enough in the chat biox on occasion in certain poker sites, and anyway I have a gas problem and occasionally I let one rip, do you really want to hear myself farting every now and then, the laughter would be very distracting not to mention embarrasing on my part,ty,,, no microphones please

i think its a very lame idea using microphones to chat while playing. you wont be able to multitable and with all the trash talking and cry babies its just gonna be a useless distraction.

I think it would be a great idea! been thinking about this myself for a long time! there would be no disadvantage or advantage if all players had mic and cam on, would actually be harder to collude if your on cam and mic. yes there are a lot of dicks on the internet that talk s**t, but you should come to one of our live games we have, its worse there

Nobody says that cam should be on all tables. I just think that would be good to have tables with that option. Microphone is however bad Idea I think...
