Since MoneyMaker won the WSOP Poker has become a Game of any hand will do. All kinds of nobrain Idiots are trying there luck playing Poker. The Casinos love it and TV Commentaters do there best to praize totaly stupid bluffing (so called Moves) play. So what happens when the mean folk see TV and think, Poker lots of Money, OK I`ll try that. Well you have aload of of monkeys that will play any BS after the Moto any two can win. But that is not the worst of it. On TV they show you Multi-Million so called Pro`s playing total BS hands and winning. So what is the consequence ? In the early stages of a tourney you will have total BS players betting with crap and getting lucky and taking good players out. In the end these Players wont wont get to the FT, but the damage that they do on the way is formidable. If I ever get to talk to a TV Commentater, I would kick him in the balls and ask him how much the Casino pays him for spreading such irrational BS and praising total BS bluff Poker.

I know what you mean. Lately I went to the river on two separate hands where the other player had no business staying in the hand with what he had and the raises I was making pre-flop and post. In one of them I got lucky and smashed his donk hand on the river with full house, and the other one I was ahead the whole way, even though he rivered a full house I had better FH. Overall playing good cards properly should put you ahead, but it can be hard to accept the donk cards and the way they hit. Playing any two cards properly takes skill, which is why the pros can do this, but the amateur who hits is just getting lucky, and consistently -EV decisions like this will probably lead to -EV bankroll.

I agree with you objectively, I don't understand why you're upset though, this is what is better known as the poker boom and is basically the reason why online poker was for so long so profitable and for many, still is.

yeah,i also have to agree with that, when durrr plays so bad they say hes a genius because he got lucky with his 23 for example and they are never going to say derogatory things when commentating as its either their friends or theyre scared to say anything but i have to agree that some hands i see people turn over now are unreal!

Pros are payed to play that way on TV. They know that people will wach that and think that that is right way to play. They will play online that way and bust them selfs or others early from tournament or create bigger pots in cash games. In any case more rake for online poker rooms and casino.

last time at the casino some slot machine regular did decide it was a good idea to shove his whole stack over one of my preflop raises. at the the showdown my QQ ended up improved to a set of queens (queen of diamonds on the flop), while his 68offsuit made a flush (8 of diamonds is hell of a card!!! )
yes it is annoying in that moment. but looking at the big picture, i sure wont complain

Yeah, I understand it is a bit frustrating in tournaments, where you have to survive and there ain't nothing you can do when some moron goes all in with A9o against your AA and draws out on you (yep, happened to me, not that far from the money, which started at 106 $). But for the cashgame, these people are what keeps at least me afloat! You should buy a rose for the TV-commentators and ask if you can bear their child!

Shokaku, its simple... They get lot of money from poker rooms. Poker room pay them entries to tournaments and gives them cash. If you dont pay "interesting" poker you wont be playing on those TV shows. Are they doing that for reason that I mentioned or no I dont know for sure. Thats one way to look at things... Btw I love to make players to think that they can bluff me every time because in one moment I will get all theirs chips .

The thing a lot of people forget, and possably down to most here being online players is that poker at the felt is a lot more than you hand, If im at a table and raise with 92o does that make me a bad player? - well how do you answer that, you cant, you would have to sit at my table get in my head and know whats going on at the table, I could be sure that I would win 2 in 3 with any hand. Now your talking about WSOP, how many play, how many hands do you see - its edit will show the "fun" hands as that makes good TV. For all those "playing s**t hands", and all those who think "Poker lots of Money" well they are my friends...they make it easy for me, because the math woks in my favor. Since online poker came about the bluff died, I love seeing it on TV. Moneymaker...took $39 and turned it in to £2.5million...yer hes a donky.

Buff is very good thing but it should be used rarely and only when you know exactly what youre opponent have and with what kind of bet you can make him fold his hand. When you bet all the time with nothing and when you trying to bluff 5 players thats not bluff. That is stupidity!
