Ok, I´m a bit altered today, but I surely do want to give you all a piece of my mind. As long as I can remember, people are always afraid of the "competition". Forums, sites, stores, etc... My question is, WHY?
Let´s say someone comes in here, offering something incredible right? That is actually a good thing, because we can all see what is being offered. If it indeed is something better than BRM, well, BRM will just have to work harder to bring those same benefits to all of us.
What I don´t like seeing is people not being able to see the whole picture. In order for any site to grow, people have to choose it because it is the best compared to others, and not only because it´s their only choice and can´t see beyond it.

thefodz, once again i must agree with you, your point is 100% valid but obviously money and business wise, not very good for BRM to condone such activity. BRM is here to promote BRM and regardless wether their is a better offer out their its in BRM's best interest to keep it as far away from this forum and BRM as possible.

yea marcotg your actually 100% right... bankrollmob wants to create a name for itself, and not one that sends out and promotes others they want to keep things seperate as to insure the best business for them

One word: FRAUD.
And yes, it is a HUUUUGE problems within this business. If you can get $25 for titanpoker at our site, $25 from another site, $25 from a third site and $50 from a fourth site, trust me, many people will signup for all 4 offers one way or the other.
I can guarantee you that our biggest competitors will NOT allow links to bankrollmob.com at their site / forum in any way. I won't, of course, not post links to them here...
Here's some rules from other poker related forums:
Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes but is not limited to referral links, promotional links, and personal websites. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. Multiple spamming by a user will result in immediate banishment. Non-Spam External links are permitted for users with 100 posts or more, however they may not conflict with rule A and Moderators may remove them at anytime.
And another one...
1) Please do not post any links to any sites. You may mention a site which you find could be used by other forum users, but not with a link. Because links often have an advertising code in them, and.....
2) NO advertising in any way, shape or form on our forum for any type of website or products. If you are interested in advertising with us, please send the administrator.
I understand your point with why competition is healthy - and I agree - but that doesn't mean we should allow them to get free advertisement in our forum, one way or the other

Of course it is not good for business, I am not speaking on behalf of BRM! I am simply talking about people´s right to see what the market offers. No business should put people´s needs last. I am not saying BRM does this, I am just commenting something in general.
Edit: I never said anything about legalising spam here in the forum, I´m just saying that it shouldn´t be a crime to say, hey ************* gives free bonuses too, but I prefer the one´s here!

thefodz, i agree and i understand where your coming from, but i also think that you might be crossing the line. Fair enough you wish to express your stance on a certain opinion, but this is BRM's world and they are the law. Its a business which must maximise its growth and wealth etc by any means possible, well not any means but you get what im saying. How would mentioning competitors sites or allowing posters to do so increase the above mentioned for BRM??
P.S i think you are WAY out of line mentioning BRM's competitors. FODZ you seem a little sensitive today and maybe a tad rebelious, i think you should cool down with your posts and just relax.

fodz although bankrollmob is all powerful they do not and cannot stop you from checking out other bankroll sites seeing whats out there.. you can easily search that for yourself... its doesnt make sense that they would mention them on here because they can potentionally lose users which is detramental for the site

Sorry - I had to remove the name. People would just go to google and search for the name, and voila, multiple accounts!
Consider this About 2-3% of our members wrote 1 or more posts in our forum. As early as today, a Mob member posted offering rakeback etc. (that's 1 member violating the rules), and the first reply in the thread is another violation of the rules (somebody writing their emails in a "hey I want that"-kinda style). Few days ago, somebody was spamming our forum with poems to get points. Before that, somebody was posting posts copied from another forum, to get points. And so on. Before we made the "100 chars needed for points", several people were posting smileys and "cool", "good" messages etc in every thread, for points. My point is - several times a week, somebody ot of our forum users (2-3% of our entire member database) violates our rules one way or the other. Imagine how many it would be if 100% or our members were active in the forum.
Bottom line - even though I appreciate you being loyal (and many of our other members too), we still have lots of members who just need 1 link or 1 sitename and they will go to the competitor, until they find another site and get even more bonuses (and multiple accounts).
Ok this post got quite long - sorry about that I'm just saying, we're not just a 3 month year old site, we know how it is and it's unfortunately not as good as we would like it to be.

I am not saying BRM should mention anyone! I´m saying that if I mention some other site for comparison purposes, it shouldn´t be a crime. Of course when I say mention some other site it doesn´t mean, hey you guys, let´s all join this or that, but simply something like: Yes, that offer was a good one.

MarcoTG, I won't lock this thread yet Even though I think most of you know where we stand on this matter, we are not just going to say "shut up! we make the rules, obey or leave!" - you know? We can have a dialog about it, even though it doesn't mean that every rule can be changed just because of a discussion about it.
But if the thread gets out of hand we will have to lock/delete it, but I hope that won't be necessary

fodz think about it as if you ran the site jus very very basic...
you own a site/buiessness whatever (this one dealing with free money) you get ppl to join your site they see another one with free money they will sign up there and then when this runs dry instead of stayin and waitin they run off
thats just one problem theres many many many more
not every1 is honest they will commit fraud and will do anything to scam. now if you own a poker room your not gonna sign up with that site due to their openness to scammers and frauds

by you having your opion which is different than others opion its the same thing you will spark intereset and people will see that and leave... and if you have good things to say then for sure they will leave
if they are bad things than thats bad for the other site and will cause a full frontal all out BANKROLL WAR!!! which is bad.... very bad

Hey, I´m looking for the best interest of this forum´s members as i see should be from the time i´ve spent here. If somehow noone can see that, hey my work here is done. If people commit fraud, it is out of my powers and I should not be put on lock down because some fool was corrupted for $25.

Nobody will never be able to have a 100% success rate with suggestions - that's why so many millions are invested each year in R&D (research & development) at all the major companies, Apple and Microsoft for instance, but not everything they make turns out to be a success (*cough* Zune... *cough*)
But it's cool that fodz throws alot of suggestions our way, if a suggestion is not suitable, then the suggestion may lead to something else that WILL work.
In this case though, I'm afraid its a no go, at least until we takeover our competitors on our road to world domination (and presidency, as it seems a few Mob members will vote "bankrollmob for president" )

Thefodz i think many people have thought what u are thinking, but in the end ur trying to change the system in one way or another, and it's just not possible it's like asking a bmw store to hang up pictures of the new mercedez, do u think they will do it? Just think of what the big companies would do... U will see that what ur asking wont ever be possible in this hostile business world

Think about what you have just written here. As a matter of fact, all of you read that and think about it.
It is a disgrace and dishonor, a total lack of respect to all of those in the history of out world who tried to change and evolve means and ways so that we could be where we are today.
If nothing will ever change, what is the point of it?
Edit: I sure hope parents are not teaching their children that no change is possible, therefore no change is necessary.

Why would BRM allow links to their competitors sites, that would be totaly stupid on their part. There is no way I would allow that if I were the one running this site, and besides do any of them give you points for posting there?

That is the whole point! Although you know of the competitors, you still choose to mention the great benefit of BRM, totally disregarding the competition. This is what I am saying all along! If you have a great product like BRM does, than the competition becomes insignificant, and therefore there is no need to be afraid of it.
I'm just saying, we're not just a 3 month year old site, we know how it is and it's unfortunately not as good as we would like it to be.
