Scammers are using fake site and fake emails from support ill post link i dont have the time but i think i saw it on moneybookers site. DO NOT IN ANY SITUATION USE LINK FROM EMAIL TO ENTER YOUR DATA IF YOU DID CONTACT MONEYBOOKERS SUPPORT AS SOON AS YOU READ THIS.
Actually i didnot found anything on moneybookers, ive read it first at one of "not supported" poker rooms newsletter. But i typed in the google following and it poped up:
moneybookers account locked fake email
there are variations of fake emails but concept is the same they send you the link which is to fake moneybookers login page and then it redirects you to real moneybookers after you typed in your account password and email. When you come to moneybookers login page some error occures, i think its not the rule forgot it, because they cannot enter automatically your data so you do it again and look it is unlocked. Oh yes they cannot enter code which is randomly created.

Posted by UNderestimate: Hey i have a question, has anyone had their Moneybookers account locked? and if what did u do? If you send mail to the support, how long did it take??
It take pretty long to get help in this situations but if you have locked account its good to send your ID card copy and bill from bank to their support and it worked in my case at least

I had recently locked account. Year ago, my friend and i made 2 account(mine and his) from the samo computer. Didn't know it forbiden. Use it a little. One year after(now) i wanted to log in but he was locked. I sent them an e-mail, and they request Id, proof of adress, credit card photo. So i sent them that, and now everything is ok. They usualy answer next day in the morning.

So one way of locking your Moneybookers account is by visiting some non-trusted sites directing you to MB then they lock it. sounds to me that their security protocol is working just fine and I like that.

No, some phishing scammers send random emails that says "Your account has been locked" and then provides you with the link which leads to phishing site that looks like original moneybookers site. There you enter your confidential data afterwards it redirects you to original moneybookers site trying to enter that data you just typed.
Nothing is wrong about Moneybookers its just that people get screwed because they are naive. Moneybookers has good security procedures. They are using spamming techniques to do phishing scam

I see. Good thing I always delete any email that is unfamiliar or I didn't know where it came from. Any still great to see that their security measures are up and keeps your money safe.
U need to contact MB trought their own webpage, they have the messages center, all the messages i have send, they answer very quickly... and, my account was locked one time, and i send my ID and a probe of my addres and is working very fine

It's actually a good thing if they are requesting such documents to prove your identity, just imagine if they weren't going to ask for such documents then somebody else can easily pretend he was you.

What do you think why gambling site asks people to send them proof of identity. Same thing here. And another thing i forgot to mention, these emails are not limited to Moneybookers. Neteller, PayPal, Visa also had their share of phishing, those i know of. Practically every payment method u can use on internet is vulnerable to phishing, but its up to users that take care of confidential data.

Yeah, I think the best protection is still the knowledge on this phishing techniques, if a user never opens strange / unknown emails then the threat is almost neutralize.
