The only way to play freerolls is to play 3 or 4 at the same time, playing on two sites at a time.

Saying that depsoting £30 isn't much and will help your game a lot more.

I will never understand why people are whining about bad players....
Without them you won't be able to even play poker... bad players are the one who give cash~
You need to work on your mindset if you can't handle freerolls...
In normal tournament you can also got some suckouts even from good players where the prize is higher and the loosing hurt much more.

you are right in first part, without them wouldnt be same on poker and wouldnt so much money on sites, but in second part I think that people want to say that in cash game people play like on freerolls,on blinds 0.01/0.02 and 0.02/0.05,so I suppose that they mean on that people too!

Well, it turned into an interesting post with all these reactions.

I guess my main point was that through the sheer number of people playing Poker nowadays, the game has moved more from a game of skill to a game of gambling.

My biggest mistake is that when i do play a freeroll, it´s usually something special and a HUGE field, which leads to the non-stop all-in play that makes it non-playable for a non-gambler.
I guess I should just try the all-in technique as well at the start of a big one, so I don´t just sit there wasting my time. Blink

And of course, like a lot of people here answered, I guess the freerolls with a small field can be profitable.

Anyway, thanks for all the responses! Blink

Actually, I made my entire current bankroll (I play NL100 and NL200 sometimes) thanks to freerolls. I've never deposited a single dollar in my life Smile played freerolls for a few months, made around 20$, then played NL10 (I know Big Smile), got lucky and managed to gather up over $100. Then someone made me realize that I shouldn't be playing these limits and I moved back to NL5, and continued with proper bankroll management from there on out.

Life is good Smile

i have to agree with the majority here freerolls are a waste of time.its more of a lottery every other hand some one is allin, for me it effects my poker i recently played a new depositors 1000 dollar freeroll at wiliam hill with a field of 1400+ players we got down to the last 2 tables and im in 4th spot and have ak suited in bb short stack pushes from mid and i call he has 3 9 off and hits his 9 on the river half my stack gone within 2 hands ive kk so im late poss re-raising allin after only 1 person calls before me i get called by j6 suited and get flushed out of the tourney from 4th to 19th still free cash but very frustrating
