Action Poker  0
I was going to play a couple of nice freerolls at Action Poker today, score some $:s and then play the fishtank you from time to time can find there.

Well, when I was upgrading the software my anti-virus-program told me I got a trojan. I closed down and started scanning the system. Removed the trojan and everything was hunkey-dory.

I tried to log on again, and the virusprogram told me again, that a trojan was quaranteened. And then the Action Poker-client wouldn't load. I got an errormessage.

I am quite sure this had something to do with the Action Poker software. It might not be a trojan, but my virus-program think it is.

Has anybody else had this experience?

Not with the Action Poker software, but with different Ipoker clients. And i guess one time with the Everest software.

Just look what another virus program has to say.

But the player base is rather small. If you play NL Hold'em cash games it is fine. Everything else has low traffic, or no players at all.

Thanks for the answer!

@ Lionmart. As shokaku says all you can play on Action is NLHE CG, or scheduled tournaments. But the freerolls often have a massive overvalue. (That is, the ones you get promobucks for, when you deposit. The usual ones are overcrowded.)

As for the topic. My virusprogram finds an .exe-file it claims to be the trojan. It's called a lot of numbers, and then .exe. Now, I'm not really that good with computers, more of a moron, but should an upgrade from a pokersite really contain an .exe-file?

Any thoughts on that?

Depends on how they do it.

Uninstall Action Poker. Scan the computer. If the scanner finds nothing, download the newest software from the Action website. Install the full client. Scan the computer again.

OK, sounds like the best plan. Thanks for the advice, and happy new year to you sir! Smile
