I have recently been grinding it out on BBP and enjoying the bonus BRM gave me for this site. Unfortunately is seems that Big Bet Poker will be closing its poker room for good on Jan. 31st. This comes as sad news to me as I have made my bonus into a little bit of money and was trying to make some big time cash in the next few months. They will no longer be accepting deposits starting today. Which also sucks because I had yet to make a deposit which is one of the things required to withdraw. Any chance they will let me transfer to another player on a different merge network site like Carbon Poker? Im sure they will not but thank BRM for at least letting me play some free poker for a couple months. Guess I just have to deposit again somewhere else.

I have just been told the same things from bigbet live chat, they told me thay will close down the 31st of january and I can withdraw (if my balance is over $30...and it is) or play the rest of those money. I asked if I can withdraw even if I never deposited there but chat/guy dudn't answer.
hope Melanie can help us to understand something more on what we can do.
It was a sad news for me as, after a break of about seven/eight s months I was back to BBP and was really enjoing it.

That's indeed a very sad news as I know lots of members here are playing there, hope you guys get your money if you have a lot there...

I am writing today to inform you that Big Bet Poker is closing our poker room for good on Friday, January 31st, 2011.
We know this comes as a surprise to many of our players and partners and we apologize for any inconvenience.
As of today, Monday, January 3rd, we are no longer accepting deposits. You will still be able to access your account through the client and either play out your current balance or request a withdrawal.
The minimum withdrawal amount is $30. If your balance is under this amount, you will have until Friday, January 31st to play out the remaining balance.
The final date to request a withdrawal will be Friday, January 31st, 2011.

if you like that network why dont you just take a rakeback deal on one of the merge skins and keep playing ?

I probably will, but I didn't have to deposit to play here, which is why I was playing. Have accounts on a couple different skins already as well. Just liked not having to put my own money out there. lol

Just got the mail myself. That is bad news. For those who like the room. There are other skins on the Merge network. Carbon Poker is the biggest room there.

shark eat again smaller fishs so then party gaming and bwin decide to work together and be the biggest in the world company i think not only big bet closes in few months we will hear about another poker site closing

If I will lose the about $60 I have there it won't be a big loss(indeed it wouldn't be a loss at all as I never deposited there).

I'd be wrong but I'm afraid neither Melanie nor their mates will keep their jobs. Maybe some of them could be relocated in other poker sites. Melanie is likely fired but she could enter here and give us an explanation.

Believe me: I'm not talking about BBP staff but ... generally, in the world, there are lots of people who do deserve be fired!
out of something bad theres always something good to come out , all am saying that she can get bonuses from here now............... yes its a bad whats going on there but no has died life goes on can always get another job, but you carnt get another life............
she would of had amonth notice anyway about her job, or she would of known about it, if you feel that bad about Melanie give her a job your self, i feel sorry for all the poker players who havnt made a deposit and have build a big bankroll with the bonus and carnt withdraw it ,,,,,,,,,,,, they carnt get that back can they.... she can always find anther job...........

too bad.... its a very good site is it closing forever or just for a meantime
