RUNNING BAD - HELP!!  0
hello all, lot of bitching goin on here so ill keep the trend going!
since the new year i have been running terrible and my bankrolls which i have worked so hard on are taking a hit and it aint from cash outs!
I just keep on loosing to dominated hands and under pairs, getting my chips in good and next thing an 8% chance sends me packing.
worst thing is Im now starting to play bad as a consequence[spellcheck]?
So, what should I do,
take a break or what?
I should point out that one site in particular is making me pay for cahshing out at Christmas or mabye thats just me being paranoid Aww crap!
thanks in advance

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt

As you say when you see people succeed with playing like crap, you will tend to do so yourself.
My best advice is when you realize that tendency you should take a break(easier to say than to do)

first of all is normal to happen this after a long period wich played every day , a breack is necessary and healty , just go to fish somthing , bike ride , or i dont know all kind off stuff just to refresh your mind .\
then when you play just dont think about loosing , winning is a word just make you strong .

So good luck at tables after this period of breack Blink

Take a break or change kind of game (if you play cash start sng or mtt) or change room... Change is good in that kind of situations... That work for me...

Its a well know fact that after you cash out they hit the doom switch.
There are lots of things you can do, shorter sessions should stop you from playing bad, more tables will/should stop you from playing bad hands, kicking a cat will put the smile back on your face and if all fails do take a break, possably use that time to see if you are being unlucky or tilting.
Dont go to the tables with a negative attitude, stay away untill you feel your going to give it your best.
Or just get pissed.

I can give you an advice that its working with me.

I had my account busted several times, some times with bad play, other times busted cause i got cracked by any crap, and every time ended with a huge huge tilt (i get very angry when i lose big guns and my ego its bnot helping me anyway). Since i cant beat the game i decided to take soome time off the tables. I play one time or another BRM freeroll, and have other ocupations to dont think so much in my adiction. Now in play one time or another the players only tourments with the account made via BRm and some other freerolls, and like 15 in 15 days i put 20 bucks in my Pokerstars account and try to double up. If i double up i cash out, if i get busted its not a big drama cause its a small amount. So like that i have more caution with the game, i play when i feel like playing and dont play so much to get on crazy tilt untill bust my account.

maybe you should try to play tournaments couple of days, especially freerolls and to give a break from cash games and then you try again and see is something changed!

It's good to be able to mix things up so that the game stays fresh and fun. Recently after a great two month stretch playing cash games on one site (followed by a nice cashout to cover some of the bills from Christmas!) I really got hammered. A lot of bad beats. So I started playing tons of turbo six person SNGs, won back what I lost and posted a nice profit. I also switch to MTTs, 7stud, omaha and razz on occasion, but always end up back at NLHE cash. Main thing is to have fun and keep working on your game. GL!

you are not only, now I am mad and on tilt Angry !played tonight t. at poker stars 2,75 $ buy in,prize pool (15 K guaranteed, but its always arround 17500) and finished at 369 position and won 6.49 $,but how...had arround 12000 chips and fnally got some hand to play, needed double up,blinds 1000/2000 and I got QQ and bet all in,2 guy before me fold (they payed blind) and 1 guy who raised on 4000 payed my all in (he had arround 15000) and show 5 5,I say great just hold, flop ok,turn ok and on river he catch 5,I almost broke my notebook Aww crap! !and this is not first time on this t. to lose pair againts pair and to opponent get set with lower pair!and after 20 minutes,I go to play at cash tables and in one hand I raise with A Q,guy re raise almost his all in,I bet over he pay and he show 10 10,flop I got A,turn good and on river 10,so again lower cards beats me on river and in this 2 days, lots of this cards my opponents got,but I will still play poker ofcourse!

so almonds you're running bad on poker. You should take rest for the meantime. it is only in your head when you always remember the time you're loosing you cant concentrate so a week break will do , and you're mind is fresh and you can kick the ass of your opponent when you come back hehhehe... Thumbs Up

Yeah, for sure you MUST take a break as you're playing with a negative attitude which is not very good in poker as you'll not play fully your winning game. I recently experienced the same thing like you and took at least one week of break... of course I still lost with good hands like QQ vs J6 but I was playing with a positive attitude which means that sooner or later I'll win something for sure...

so stop play for some days or weak becouse u can loose all and much more Sad
sometimes short breaks from poker and over games helps to stay a live
