I dont know where they grow, my ones come in lemon shaped plastic containers, but I will take your word for it that they grow in trees, however I must admit there are more than a few lemons prowling this forum, no names mentioned but we all know who they are, loooolll, lol

Aha! That's where the lemons come from!! I have never been to Portugal, so I suppose I will have to sooner or later. Although, I find your language very difficult, if not impossible, to understand. With spanish one can get by rudimentary, but portugise, tough...

How about english? Do people in average speak good english in Portugal?

And when does the lemons grow? Smile

I hope you can come here one day, because youll find a country full of sympatic people and people with very good heart always read to help.
Talking avbout myself i talk my own language, spanish, english and french, and i think many people understand spanish and doesnt understand portuguese because they doesnt forcve to understand it. Portuguese and spanish are very very similar, with one (maybe) big difference, the accent. Maybe spanish language is more sensual, and that why most of people force to understand it better.
If one day you come to the north where i live tell something here and we can arrange for me to show you where the sweet melons grows (not the acyd ones hahahaahahaha), and to eat some of the best portuguese food.
Everybody that comes to portugual fall in love with the sun, the beachs, the women and the food.
Here youll find lot of people that speaks english, and in the south (allgarve) everybnody speaks it.

Thanks for the answer kinogomes! I'm not much of a spanish speaking person myself (I can order a beer and all the important stuff, but that's just about it), but my wife is, a little, and she claims she don't understand portugise at all.

But when we go there, I will start a thread here so you can show us the sweet melons and other food. Smile

And midnight, I heard about the haggis. Gotta eat that some day too, I guess...

Yep! I have now fixed one of the cables that wasn't so badly chewed up, and got a lemon. I saw the little bugger go for the cable as soon as I had left it (since I did something with it, it was obviously interesting), and she actually made a face of disgust when she felt the smell! Big Smile

It seems to work so far. But I do not know if she will kepp away from them when the lemon dries up... Hoping for the best though.

How does a haggis look? Never seen one. But I have set out to eat everything I can get my hands on (that is edible), at least once. This winter I _almost_ got my hands on some bearmeat an aquittence of mine shot.
