It wasnt Trapatoni the master of Catenacio, It was Herrera the coach that ged 2 champions league to Inter Milan in the 60s.
Trappatoni just made a good use of that. I think the biggest thing about him itsnot the tatic, i think he is very good motivating the player. Its psycological. The games he make before the games its just an amusement to dont distract the player of the matter. In Italy he had to use the Catenacio because he was in the country of the Catenacio.
