getting irritated  0
so i have been playing online poker for a while now and have never put money online.. play many freerolls and never seem to get past the bubble... i have tried many different ways to try to get past the bubble and make it through the crowd but always come out empty handed... this last tournament i was in a bad beat at least half a dozen times before getting knocked out... how do i get past this... i always seem to not get a break.. how do you overcome bad beats and win bad beats???

are these sites rigged... i just want to start a bankroll and try playing real poker instead of the lottery....

i know i will do good because i played with a friends dad and won him over 300 dollars one night playin 2.00/4.00 fl poker. after he was down 100.. he told me if i go down 50 to stop... needless to say he was shocked when he came in 3 hours later to see his bankroll up 200 dollars from the day before.. Aww crap!

No offense - but if you can't even min-cash in a freeroll, there is zero chance you are yet at a winning level. Internet poker isn't easy - 90%+ are losing players.. It takes a LOT of skill to not just beat the competition, but to be able to beat the rake also.

It also takes an incredible amount of discipline(I have a big problem here) - playing within bankroll management - and not playing on "TILT".

IMHO - keep practicing freerolls - there is almost nothing easier than getting past the bubble in a freeroll - seriously. Then when you're ready, make a small deposit - $100 or so and play with good bankroll management.

no its ok.. but why can i do good with 2/4 fl blinds and make money easy but not do good in freerolls where i have bad beats... i alway lose on the river.. and i don t just go all in on AA or AK and things like that.. i mean i look for st8s flushes.. boats... 3 of a kinds... and look at the best hand on the table and what hand i have and the odds of me winning with the hand i have

You won one session, that means nothing, literally, nothing. Trust me, if you're not able to min-cash in a freeroll, you need some more practice. I'm not trying to be a prick. But internet poker is a lot harder than you seem to think it is.

"Moving up to where they play real poker" is an internet joke, it's a meme.. It's not an actual thing you can do to win more. You'll get crushed harder the further you move up. Freerolls are the easiest. And you can't get a min-cash.

so 3 hours and 300.00 means nothing... i am lost

Yes, it means nothing. The worst player there is could sit down at NL $200/$400 and win $10,000 in an hour.

It's what you can win/lose over 20K hands, 50K hands, 200K hands that means something. I am not joking.

Winning $300 in a couple hours playing $2/$4 FL just means you had a nice session. But it isn't even close to the sort of sample size you need to see if you're a winning player or not.

if i made 300 in 3 hours everyday i would quit my day job and not even play 200/400 blinds... and the worst player can not win 10000 in an hour.. i would like to see me proved wrong

Jesse is right. Having one winning session definitely doesn't equate to being a long term winner. I've had sessions where I've made 10 buy ins, and sessions where Ive lost 10 buyins. They mean nothing in terms of being a winner or loser, short term yes, but what really matters is your win rate over thousands and thousands of hands - only then can you say your beating the game at a given level, not from just one session.
Easiest solution to your problem = deposit $250, play 10NL.

well you can lose if you play for your own money and happen a lot,so its not only reason that you play just freerolls!maybe your strategy isnt good, you must see first how you play, then to look on site problems!

Making that much profit in a day makes me believe you're a wild loose-agressive (aka maniac). This kind of players multiplies his bankroll in a day only to go broke in the next 2 days. There's no skill in doing that.

LOL !

Of course you could be proved wrong ! Are you fucking kidding? Even 72o has a 12% chance vs AA - that means - worst player in the world shoves $10K against AA and will win that hand 12/100 times !

F**k me. Seriously- back to the books. You have NFI.

I tried starting off in this thread not being rude, in my first couple posts, I was trying to be brutally honest with you. But you're dreaming about this one session you had where you won $300 ! What the hell makes you think you could do that regularly LOL ! Man - you're too funny. You can't even beat a freeroll dude ! Pull your head out of your ass and start thinking about how many people are trying to crack internet poker. And the fact that only the top few percentage make a dime from it - the rest - just giving away their money. You seriously think you can go from not being able TO MIN CASH IN A FREEROLL LMFAO - to beating $2/$4 AHAHAHAHAHAHHAhA MY FUCKING GOD.

yesterday me and my friends had a soccer match.
I was busy so I can't join it from he start but I could only play last 30 minutes.
....and ...wow....I scored 4 goals.
so it means, as a regular match lasts 90 minutes, I will score 12 goals in every future match i'm gonna play.
I guess you all will hear from me soon: european chamopionchips will be held in 2012 but my target is the world cup in 2014. Agree

4 goals ,wow, can I have your autograph, your my hero,,,,, sieriously though I hope he listens to the advice he has had , sounds like the type of player I love in a decent stg, full of confidence and high hope and gets lots of bad beats, of course I and you never do, lol, stick to the feerolls and small stake stgs, you playing cashgames sounds like an accident waiting to happen, making any profit online is extremely difficult, and takes years to master, try not to deposit if possible I have made 1 deposit in 2 years, and no I dont win a lot, but I dont lose iether, well after saying that I am down 200$ this year , but hay thats poker and its money lost from winings so anoying more than painful, but we will grind away.I wish you luck in your poker carreer if you decide to play a lot, but I would do some reading and play maybe 5 years before you decide how good or bad you are.

Its really hard to win the freerolls, because its not poker, its bingo game.I think you shouldnt bother to play them, as long as its free, get full of really bad players, in an attempt to cash something. Its very comon you see people soving really bad yhands UTG and hitting set on the flop or crazy s**t like that.
Why you bother playing freerolls?? If your friend is good playing FL you should learn from him, deposit a few $ in your dollar and try to follow your friends rulles, and iam sure youll find your place there.

In freerolls there isno discipline, no long run, nothing, only the lucky river that helps nusually bad hands, and then the ship leaders calling the small stacks with bad hands and hitting all the way.

In my opinion you should avoid these kind of tournments.

Kinogomes is right, freerolls aren't great poker and are not necessarily an indication of skill - too much bingo going on. Also, with the huge number of players at some freerolls it takes hours to win a few dollars. See what free BR you are eligible for here, and if not try your luck at the draw or the mobsafe. If you win you get some $ to start a roll. GL!
