...won't appear in this thread! Bummer!
But hey, as you have already clicked - check this out: Double Omaha
Last week in our Home Game we tried a new game which we called Double Omaha, in dependence on Partys Double Hold 'Em. The rules are simple: Instead of using 2 of your cards like at the „classic“ Omaha, you can use all 4 of your hole cards to built the best hand. We started with Pot Limit, but you know how difficult that can be after a few beers without „bet pot-“ or „raise pot-button“ (or maybe we're just too dumb), so we quickly changed it to No Limit. There were tons of monster hands, especially some straight flushes, it's just a sick action game and big fun. I searched a bit the web to see if this game exists or anything similar - but could not find much, maybe it's not called Double Omaha. So I would like to know from you mobsters if you played something like that and what you think about it. I definitly recommend to give it a try at your next Home Game, even if you won't have any poker friends after that anymore...

I would guess, this is 95 % luck, 4 % alc and 1 % skill. so perfect for a fun home game, but seems it has not potential for +EV play, and therefore for longtime winning. If you make it no Limit, you and your friend need a nice BR or shots instead of beer, cheers

WOW! Double Omaha! That is crazy! I can only begin to imagine the variance and bad beats with that one! Everything seems to be more fun when booze is involved. Where I work we used to have a Monopoly tournament on the Friday ending our two week July rush. Sounds tame right? But by the end of the night the boards would be soaked with spilled booze, the whiskey soaked hotels would be running red ink all over the place, the money was also soaked, and damn we had a good time!

at least i got your attention
Meanwhile we had round two of this game - i went from the biggest winner to one of the big losers. But still think it's fun in a not so serious Home Game. Try it and give me some more feedback please.
