i dont get the fact that ppl think having AA in your hand gives you the right to win that hand! there are differant types of player and obviously that is for you to work out what type of players are sitting at your table! just 1 pair at the showdown is a week hand, good players should be prepared to fold AA before the showdown, and calling with lower hands often pay more than the AA,AK, etc...
yes AA is after all only a pair , preflop it is the best starting hand possible this is obviously why everyone likes to see it preflop, however this forum is full of AA horror stories and badbeats, it is how you play a hand after the flop , turn, river that counts, I dont think many members would feel that having AA preflop gives them the right to win a hand , however it would give them that exspectation therefore perhaps dictateing the preflop play or size of preflop bet, followed by the size of the Cbet depending on the flop, I and most good players have and will fold top pair depending on flop, position, pot size , pot odds, possible fold equity if a call is made, , and the player or players your up against.
I'm not good at folding AA. Therefore i always make a substantial raise when i get it, to narrow the field. If you're playing AA against 4 hands you're almost certain that you will have to make a set to win the hand and when I'm not good at folding it I'd rather win less with it than not win at all

id really like to meet the ones that have a easy time folding AA. Fortunes are won and lost on those 2 cards alone more than any other 2. Unfortunately for me i havnt gotten them enough to make up my mind on them yet............

AA definitely does not lock a win, and is only a pocket pair. In general you should be raising stiffly with them to bring it down to one on one, but if too many people call beware! One time live I raise on the button six times the blind with AA, and all the limpers called! Six people to a flop and two jacks come out, and before action got to me it was raised and re-raised, of course I folded! They both had trips! One donk called with J6o, the other with KJs. It's only pocket pair...

yup.. it's nice to have aces..but it's not a sure thing...in the poker room where i play live...having aces is a curse...
i play in a place next to a cockfigthing arena here in manila..cockfighting and horse racing is the two biggest gambling addiction here in the phils..
so when those gamblers come to play after the cockfigting matches,beware.. a big raise once called by two players could turn into a family pot!!!!! whatcha gonna do with your aces now?
their reason? they don't care if you had aces, once the flop comes out every hand can win...i know its crazy and it's not the right way to play..but there's truth in that...sadly.

What you say is true, but i think you would have better results and conclusions from this forum if you have created a poll, like: Fold AA? Never in life I did it once Pros do it often
This way you could see how people react to the question you do here. But let me tell you, i agree with you, and those who say they can't AA, its because they rarely play.
Think I have folded AA only once preflop and that was in a 10k gaurenteed tourney when 1 from the bubble with average stack ,, hmm,, once recently postflop in a 10$ stg when again on the bubble, flop paired

only once have i folded AA...flop all in the same suit with two guys pushing all in..my aces didn't have the same suit. the winner has a baby flush on the flop and the other one with a king flush draw and a straight draw.
