A Poker bot, or Poker Robot, is a program or piece of software that is normally hooked up to an Online Poker Site, and makes decisions about the current hand that is being played, and acts accordingly (Bets, Folds, Raises etc), just as if you were playing the hand yourself. I am sure most of us if honest will admit to researching these Bots I in my early days actually gave some thought to buying one but cheating is not in my nature so that idea quickly went out the window , however the subject still interests me I am sure we have all had that feeling that we are playing one . Now all the sites claim that there sicurity keeps them out and obviously the BOT programmers say the cant who you believe is up to you , I believe that at least 2 BOTS available online operate without detection I can not name them obviously but its not hard to find them. During my research!! I have learned that most of these bots you see for sale are nothing but scams and that the software some fools buy is worthless , good I say serves them right for trying to cheat. I just cant get my head round these guys who buy these BOTS , yes the reason is obvious why they buy them hopefully to make a profit at the risk of being captured and labelled a cheat and lowlife but as we know this will not deter some lowlifes who populate the poker world. The world of online poker and online gambleing in general has always been tainted by thieves, cheats and associated controversy, we have all heard of the super accounts, colusion and other underhand methods used. The BOT is in my mind just another tool used by these lowlifes and cheats . I use the word lowlife often in the hope of shameing anyone reading this who has used or is thinking of useing one.

I dont use pokerbot and never used. For me doesnt make any sense using a bot when we can win playing poker if we are smart. The only advantage of the poker bot is that he doesnt tilt like me after losing 4 times AA in half hour. Another thing i dont understand is that why somebody is going to sell a product that if he was using alone he could make milllions alone. Doesnt make any sense. I think the bot companies makes bot to be even (unlock the site bonus), and for sure they make bots to destroy other bots just for few people. The best thing is stay away from them and dont trust in easy money. Only chatears make easy money playing poker.

100% used in poll , It is really very sad if this is true about this robots, but I think sites (big poker sits) will try them best to end this. BTW how much they cost I want to buy 1 (joke)
well all sites say they cant be used on there sites but I kniow for a fact 2 definately work not by personal exspeirience but by be told so by reliable sources,

I definitely think using bots is cheating and I've never done so - and I don't condone using them.
BBUUUUUUT ...
I really respect the ability to WRITE a succesful poker - I'm a programmer myself - and I can really appreciate the AI logic involved in creating a winning poker bot and are fascinated by them as a subject. And would be interested in a a league of bots for sure - where everyone writes their own unique poker bots to do battle..

Cool! I am a developer too and I've been working in AI of videogame projects. It's not a secret that I've done something related to poker. It may be a good idea a poker bot league Once a time my brother and I were involved in a 'Go' bot league. It was very funny!!
I was just thinking as I do,, if you did set up an online POKER BOT leauge and say I slipped in Phil Ivey as a player but said he was a BOT , would this be cheating?? for the sake of argument there would have to be substanial financial gain involved

Of course, in our poker bot league human are not allowed! Although, Phil Ivey would be catched in our league because his time response would be more than 100 milliseconds

I have played against poker bots (or at least was pretty sure). The fun part was knowing how it was programmed and placing bets which I knew would cause it to make the wrong move, the not fun part is that you can never tilt a bot. I think they have tournaments for poker bots somewhere, let them have their jollies there. No poker bots please.

There is no reason to fear poker bots, about 5% of all poker bots run even or profit. Programming a succesfull pokerbot, and avoiding detection is do able, but it requires huge ammounts of dedication and skill.
People colluding ,sharing extra outs and stuff like that, they ruin the game. Not pokerbots, most bots are perfectly beatable, if not, they raise attention and mostly,get detected and sites block their funds.

I do think "farming" the micro's is cheating, scraping the micro's at 20+ tables at once will gain you quite some profit and is practically un do ab le manually.
yes true,, if I were to use a bot which I would not they would be ideal for BRM freeroll,lol,,, hmmm,, were was that bot download site again,,,
on a lighter side Neo dont get me wrong your english is great, but saying THRUST me by mistake rather than TRUST me might be seen as an invitation by certain members,,,,
