Correct - playing a bot in theory should be easier than a thinking human, in regards to stakes you're playing at - I would actually expect the bots at the lowest stakes - not the highest. As this is where ABC/ by the book playing is profitable- and a working bot can in theory "farm" the micros - playing many tables at once.
Bots definitely exist.
I can only imagine a bot playing at high stakes would get absolutely crushed.

How do they detect if your using a bot or if your just playing from a chart anyway?
Beyond statistical analysis of how hands were played, on how many tables simulataneuously, speed of decisions, etc. I think another way bots could be detected is by hard-coding detection into the poker client..
Basically, the same way AV software works - it has definitions that are updated as threats become known - the software is then aware of what to look for. With each new release of a poker client - it could include information regarding known bot software - and basically search for instances of it running within the memory..
I would imagine, for this reason, you'd be far better off writing your own bot software and not sharing it. I'd go further and suggest there's two ways people make money from bots: A) Writing bots and selling them to others B) Writing bots and using them soley for your own gain and not sharing the application publicly.
I dare say it'd be near impossible to combine A with B and I doubt a client of somebody in the "A" situation would be likely to make much money, or not eventually get caught doing so.

All this talk of poker robots has intrigued me, and I've been working day and night on one. So far not bad, but I need to work on its tactile response, three keyboards have been accidentally smashed already, and it put its fist through the screen after a bad beat where someone called with 9-6s when it raised 6xbb with AA. i ll play last night at the site 888 and was busted out easy from the man who played all the hands at the table and won 6 hands in arrow strange but its true my aa all in preflop he calls it was 35 k my and his 35 k also one short stack call with aj l fold he had 120 k money and call me with a7 flop gives 7 turn gives 7 river never mater for me becouse all a was on the table sometimes i feel like playing against bots becouse they play all the hands and allways wins strong pots and loose small pots good luck all and be happy

I think you mis-understand bots. If this is your interpretation of what playing a bot means.

This is more thinking that the site is rigged against you..

in this poker site i didnt feel that he was rigged against me but in full tilt i allways have bad beats against me so i dislike tilt site but thisp oker site is quite good for me and sometimes i love to play in it

allot of people think bots can predict the cards are dealt, this is a misconception. Bots have acces to all info you have, only can make more accurate, faster calculations

true we do not want to promote bots or sites selling them, I have never looked to be honest, however when I started this thread it wased due to me reading an article on them and related scams, the two bot programs being discussed were both scams and totally useless, I am sure there are programs out there but from what I can gather you need some if not considerable abilities to set them up and with others some programing skills,,
after a quick google I came acroos a site specifically for " bot enthusiasts "as they say and the level of discussion was quiet impressive well above me,, however it reaffirms my belief that they are operating on a site near you!!

I would not recommend those sofwares, been playing against many bots and it's pretty easy to win them when you break theyr strategy. They does allmost same commands in same situations everytime. So not very

I've posted this once before but i will post it once again. I found out people were using the bot over at absolute when i first started playing. So i downloaded it. I downloaded it went to play money table and played against it. It's full of exploits and easy to beat, and pretty passive without aa kk qq in it's hand. Alot of times this bot will fold to about any reraise. Try it out for yourself. I think everyone should.

Hmm, I have absolute no idea how this works, even where to find it or to handle it But I think nevertheless I won`t zuse such programms, because I love to play by myself
