This was the most watched Super-Bowl of all time? Really? Are you kidding? It was a pretty good game, but the Steelers have more haters than any other team outside of their fan base. The Packers, well lets just say this is the one time they were the sentimental favorite. Still this being said, How? This Superbowl couldn't have had less story lines, other than "Aaron Rodgers" than "Teen Mom". The commercials were the worst ever. I don't understand why the most populated states, NY, CA, TX, FL, MA, NJ, OH, IN and a few others would of had any interest, so unless every Tv in Pitt and GB was on the game, how did this happen? These are two fo the most hated teams in the NFL? Not just my opinion google it! Oh well I guess the only reasonable answer is that Vegas made a ton of money, because in order for me to watch this game I would have had to have action on it. Which I may have had.
I don't know if it's just in the US you are referring to. But I believe that the NFL is getting broadcasted to more and more countries around the world every year. So the base of viewers gets larger

It's the same thing every year two teams usually that you don't expect to be there get there. Now as far as the most watched thats simple as tongerlo said the NFL has that game set up to be broadcasted all around the world. Lester Couric who is a NBC anchor on the Today show on weekends was in Egypt doing a report for that crap that is going on there and for god sakes he was even able to watch the game so there's your reason for the most televised it's seen everywhere worldwide.
