In my opinion in freerolls anything can happened and it does. Especialy with the Russians. However when play in real money tables no such as thing happening...you see to busy to think about chat...however Im agree with you...even on FR they should stick to the rulls. Otherwise they should remove them from their lists....

I'm not worried about collusion in freerolls. It's when I'm playing a 6-man double up tournament
and two player are clearly colluding that irritates me.

And it's not just that they're speaking a language that their not supposed to, that just makes
it clear that they are freinds. It's the way they protect each other and their betting patterns that are aggravating.

Makes sense to me. Bottom line is, it's not allowed according to Full Tilt rules, so I would expect them to take action against the players involved - but of course it depends on them actually finding out, so it's probably up to other players to report them and send chat logs.

Very sorry you don't get it, but i will try to explain again.
And I am not just talking about freerolls, the problem is moving to real cash games and Tourneys (as I CLEARLY stated), but was apparently overseen....
Despite that, freeroll or not, the issue stays the same.

Can you imagine the WSOP, WPT. Aussie Millions etc., a table where 2 people are talking in Swedish, 2 in Flemish, 2 in Filipino, and 2 in Esperanto?

Please use some common sense before replying, and try to think a little further than you obviously have.

There are reasons for this Rule in Poker.
It's like sitting at a live table and saying "I fold" in Swahili. Who the f**k understands?
Language is an integral part of Poker and all it's many facets, and International Poker requires English. PERIOD. That's a Rule like any other.
If we let that slide people will soon just be able to talk in code and tell each other their holdings.
Please... use some degree of intelligence.

A "Nationality" tournament is the ONLY exception.

I'm not trying to create a Revolution here, I'm just saying:

Let's keep the game that we love so much intact.
and if you play on a site where any nationality is abusing their chat rights, DO something about it.

------------

i do understand what you are saying and i do understand that you would like that people get punished or be chatbanned for chatting in their own language even when they know very well that it is not allowed but that does not mean that it disturb every poker player ... at least for me it makes no difference at all , if people want to chat in russian , chinese , dutch , french or whatever language i don't care as i don't believe that people use pokerchat to cheat .
if i would want to cheat i would not use the chat from the poker room itself as there or so much other ways to communicate .
in my opinion you are just overreacting in this matter even when you are right with saying that it is not allowed .

Good day! And what is generally needed chat ???!!! If you sit at a table to play poker play, and chat rooms to communicate is in other places! And believe me, that Russian insult each other more often than someone!

If you were sitting near the top of the Leaderboard and had to deal with what I´ve had to deal, you might feel differently.
Where the difference is $20 or $200... it pisses you off, and I would not call that overreacting.

Sorry if I get on your case a bit more strongly than with the others, but it is this typical Belgian attitude of "let everyone do what they want, I live in a coccoon" that has gotten our country where it is today.
One of the highest National debts in the world, and the historical world record for the longest time without a legally official government.
It really gets to me sometimes....

i agree 100% if ftp dont follow thier own rules i say you just make it a restricted game .... i do understand that as a growing forum you also have a need to constantly recruit new members so i fully understand your position ty / oh and as far as them crashing ring and sng ITS CALLED COLUSION AND IS ILLEGAL IN AND ON EVERY POKER SITE JUST NOTE SEVERAL NAMES AND REPORT TO POKER SITE AND GAMING COMMISSION .... Smile Dollar Dollar Thumbs Down

It sucks, they lost their server, come back and go all in with crape, and win.( anyway they go all in every 2 minute) Now I know why this can happen so often. I also send FT an email because they write in cyrillic and the translation showed that this was a collusion.

I`m german but I always write in english,
even if it is not very good, sorry for that.

Have a nice day.

Not only on Full Tilt, but it runs rampant on Poker Stars as well. Fortunately there they jump on it the second you report. Don't have that choice on Full Tilt. They need to implement "live" monitors to mute these people.
Cool Blink

Magatt966:

I've been playing them in Titan or William Hill (and they're probably available on all iPoker
networks).

As for stratagy, it depends on the blind speed. For super Turbo, I try force the blinds to hit me
just before they get huge forcing everyone else to make a move.

Otherwise, I just try to stay alive, only going aggressive with something good or if going
low stack to try buy blinds and antes.

Good luck.

Thanks for stressing the point Tony. Thumbs Up
I was pretty pissed off when I started the thread, and I had 2 goals.
One was that people would actually do something about it and send chat transcripts to FT.
Word gets around fast that chat rights are revoked, and the problem might be nipped in the bud.
The second was that I would have liked BRM to make a mention to FT that many members are complaining about the problem:
This might incite them to really do something about it if they realise it is getting out of hand.

I won´t push for that last one, do what you deem best for the site.

And sorry for not being more clear in my thread title.
Did not want it to seem I was complaining against BRM, so I understand why you made that addition. Will be more thoughtful in the future. Blink

don't feel sorry to be on top of me , as i told before i don't care if people chat in their own language even when it is not allowed and i will not change my opinion about this .
i can only advice you and others to ignore the chat or close the chat and stay focused on your game as it is just impossible to ban all people who are chatting in their own language .
i know one thing for sure and that is that if FT or pokerstars or whatever pokerroom has evidence that people are cheating they will close their accounts immidiatly so i don't believe that people will cheat in freerolls or micro games and take a risk to get banned for peanuts and in the higher stakes players do respect much more the rules of the pokerroom and that's the reason why in my opinion you are overreacting .
maybe you can explain me how someone can win a freeroll with around 3.000 people just by chatting in their own language ... they should need to communicate with almost everyone during complete tournement .
it's the same problem with the donkbets in freerolls and microgames ... you accept or don't accept such players as you will always have players playing donky moves .
a long time ago i could not stand it but for a while now i don't care anymore even when i lose against a donk move as it is all part of the game .
think that most people have more things to take care off and to make themselves nervous about it than a chat or a card game , at least i have and i do .
can give you small example ... borrowed past year my car to a friend and 4 hours and a few beers later he crashed with it and the car was totall lose ... needed to buy a new one but did not get a penny from him even when he promised me to give each month a amount of money to me .
result is that i now need to go to court to get my money from my car and a wife that is and was not happy with the complete situation as she was strongly against the moment i have loaned him my car .
