I know that after nearly 42 years of living in the Great White North I should be used to the cold and the snow, but here it is almost March, it is near -20 outside, inside I have my hood of my hoodie on to warm my balding head, and no end in sight. Looking forward to shorts, sandals, swimming, tennis and cycling. sigh. Anybody have any suggestions to defeat the last of the winter blues?

Here is the temperature in Moscow in July 2010 http://diary.gismeteo.ru/4368/2010/07 It is in Russian but you'll figure it out. All you need is the first two columns: date and temperature at noon.

mahdrof; Answer to winter blues is, play poker with a beach scene as background, Ha! I could see grass two days ago now we have 6 more inches of snow that fell last night. Can't stand it, but your further north then me so hopefully the change in seasons are soon. Good Luck in getting over the winter blues! I have it to!

on my side of the globe, we're pretty warm all year round.sandals and shorts all year.the farthest beach from manila is just an hour or two away by plane...what we don't experience is the cold weather and snow..that's why i always pray for heavy snow everytime my family visits new york on christmas hehe..funny how the world works.

Wow! You guys get some serious temperature swings over there between winter and summer. That´s extreme to say the least. Had no idea it got that warm in Moscow in the summer.

Staying busy in winter sure makes things go faster, and I am out there too with my hockey stick, skis and building snow forts with the kids, but you guys who still haven't gotten tired of the snow and the cold seem to have forgotten some of the benefits of the warmer weather, like less clothing... Im from Portugal and i also notice that cold weather doesnt want to go away this year, its becoming a bit too much. I never tryed russian vodkas to defeat the cold, but i heard about their hot effect, perhaps you could try those. In front of the PC, nothing like going to play some poker on Paradise Poker, watching the palm trees and the beach they have as image logo
