No way in Hell I could have folded that hand.
Unbelievable! Shock

What are the odds of being beat?
He must have "felt" something wrong with the hand, I guess.
These guys are at the table a long time together in the WSOP.
But still..... Shock

I think it was a very good laydown. I mean you have to wonder what Geller would check-raise with. Not trip tens cos he'd be losing to a straight. What hand could he have where his hand is strong on the river that he would check with on the flop. AQ he would have bet out already. I think his hand stinks of a full house but the question is which full house. I would have called rather than shipped but this was an excellent read. I think the fact he promised to show helped.

That's bad azz video doz01, I know I'd have lost, fullhouse, I'd never think to fold. All in knowing I had the win! At least until I lost to the KK's. Excellent!

Put the video ID (wIbHeFnIWVM - in this case) inside YOUTUBE tags, like:
[*youtube]wIbHeFnIWVM[*/youtube]
- but without the two * I only put them there so the tags would be ignored so you can see them.

Sometimes I know I'm getting beat in a sick hand like this - like all the betting patterns just scream AA/KK - and you know you're getting smashed by a better set or fullhouse.. But I've never actually made the lay down.. A leak I suppose - I think in MTT it's never correct to lay down... In cash - if you're really deep - 200bb-300bb+ then you really need to start analyzing these situations more.. wondering what somebody is willing to ship 300bb on etc..

I guess 3 hands could beat him. Smile

Yes - a good call or fold has nothing to do with the results of the hand and the opponents cards. It's about analyzing the hand - the range - and working out your hands expected value and see if you're getting the correct mathematical odds (straight-out or implied) to make the call/fold.

So in this case - I'm assuming the person who made the fold knows that his opponent will turn up with a better hand often enough to justify folding - it's not about whether the opponent necessarily has a better hand in that particular instant - you cannot know this for sure - not matter how good you are.
