Show Your Hand or Muck  0
Another beginners question! Would one recommended to show their cards or muck? Only reason I ask is do you want to let the people at the table know that your not bluffing by showing your cards or muck your hand to keep the opponent wondering? Hope this isn't to silly of a questions!

Depends alot on what your objective is if your trying to maintain a tight image show you big hands if your trying to come off like a bit of a donk show your bad hands and your wild bluffs if the hand goes down to the river and you lose most of the time i muck it couse people who really want to see it will hit replay.

Hope this helped

Never ever ever show unless you have 7 deuce and make a sick 4/5 bet Tongue

**yes, i'm a little bit drunk Agree

On a more serious note if any complete beginners are reading this dont ever show. keep em guessing, so when you do have aa/kk they call because they dont think you have it Big Smile

i never show s**t thats my rule, keep them wondering if your bluffing or not. dont give any info away i think even if your bluffing all the time or your as tight as a ducks arse it will pay off. when people are showing cards all the time i think for one why is he giving me this info as you have a good idea how he is betting his strong hands or weak hands and tbh i think its stupid to show even if you may make a guy tilt the guy next to him may not be a donk and take your chips because you gave him to much info its just not worth it i think and really who gives a crap if you bluffed or you had a monster everyone has bluffed and everyone has had monsters whats the point in showing it off just my opinion Cool plus if a guy is going to tilt because you bet him off a pot and he had to fold a big hand well he will prob tilt anyway without showing a bluff but most decent players will just think dirty dog his time will come

I usually never show but if I had a good bluff I'll show to mess with the players at the table. I do this to throw them off balance so when I have a good hand they might think hey that guy might be bluffing again and this time I have a good hand and some will call so I can add to my chip stack and when I win I won't show which is most of the time. The old saying you got to pay to see. Blink

To build up an image one can show his cards here or there. But i doubt that most players will notice it. So i usually just muck my cards.

just use auto muck then u dont have 2 decide Smile

Why people keep on saying that everyone should auto muck?
Showing cards can be very powerful weapon. Especially in HU games. For example: You play against very tight opponent, you see that you are better player but you cant crack him because he folds non stop... Well you should show him couple of bluffs...That will loose him up and after that just catch good hand and he is done...
Here is opposite example:
You are chip leader on MTT on final table. People usually think that chip leader always steal blinds and therefore they are ready to push all in on his raises. Just catch some good hands and when they fold you show... They will have respect for your raises and you can use fact that you are chip leader and steal!
Off course you must have a plan. You must know what you are doing... Because if yoyu show and you dont know why are you show you only giving information to your opponent...
I played 3 days before tourney on PKR and there was around 13 people left... Final table was 6 seats. I had good run with cards getting KK QQ AK in short period of time. Also two or tree times in row I won all in or I had best hand. I was chip leader on table and I showed every good hand. People actually started to write in chat: OMG! He is running so hot!Guess PKR wants him to win and that kind of s**t for losers! And Every time when I raise to steal comment was: ooo what you have now AA? And they folding Big Smile So I muck when have bad hand and when I have good hand show. And that way they notice only good hands and kep on folding on my raises.

You must have plan if you decide to show that... If your plan there was to win big pot and trap someone then you did good. If blinds was high and people loose and if you intended to keep on stealing and bluffing that was bad thing to do Blink

MUCK every time , better to give no information rather than trying to get into psychological games , trapping, leading on, unless you feel that you can make him think that he knows more than you think he knows, but he might know more than you think he knows if you get my drift,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, straight face and muck all the time wining pots will do just as much damage to his ego as throwing a bluff in his face which may even make him focus and become more determined

Auto-muck always on. The only game I can show my hand is HU while oponent is tilting and I want to piss him off even more.

I always auto-muck, but then I multi-table so I don't have much time to be selectively showing cards. I find that players who show their bluffs get bad beats more because when they have a legitimate hand nobody believes them, and their opponent draws out on them. I don't like to give free information.

In most cases I have to say muck. It has to a special situation for me to show my cards. One time is if my opponent took extra time to decide on whether to fold or not. Sometimes I will show my cards, but only if I had a monster pair or some kind of big hand.
The problem with showing your cards a lot is they will figure you out, and you'll get hammered. So the best advice is to muck muck muck. Good luck to you on and off the felts...

I always muck winning and losing hands, the gameplay is much faster. Do not like showing my hands at all. Other do show to use mind psychology on the other players.
