coaching clients - any experience with it?  0
Some new kind of poker sites appear in these days. While playing poker there, the poker client takes care about your poker education.

I am mainly speaking about pokerplayercafe.com in the cake network. Their own tool Excel-Boy analyses your poker game and gives you tips for improving your game.

Cite from the site:

How it works
While you play, Excel-Boy will analyse your hands and then automatically send you a short analysis highlighting your single biggest mistake. No complex statistics and no lengthy tables, instead you will get short and to the point analysis with links to optional material to read on the specific topic of avoiding this specific leak in your play.
To select what is most significant, various factors are taken into account like frequency, how much it costs and how easy it is to change, all to make sure Excel-Boy can deliver relevant and useful help.
We all have problem areas in our play. It may be small mistakes or simply specific situations that we don't master. When someone points those out, a lot of the time you can improve your play by just avoiding them.
Mostly, ExcelBoy can actually even give you a dollar figure to your mistake. If you add this to your overall result you will easily see what difference this would make to your bankroll. Also, if you adjust your play to avoid the highlighted problem area, Excel-Boy will even give you a small reward and highlight another problem in your play.
In short, Excel-Boy makes you a better, more profitable poker player - rewarding you at the same time!

How do I get my first analysis?
Getting Excel-Boy’s advice is totally free, and really easy! All you have to do is play your first 500 hands of No Limit Holdem at PokerPlayerCafe.com and Excel-Boy will then automatically mail you his first analysis. And remember that although he may come off as a little bit of a smart-ass, he only wants to help you improve your game and become a more profitable poker player!

For poker players in the beginning it seems to be a great start. No extra tool needed. Does anyone of you made any experience with such „coaching clients“ ?

just another scam even thou its free,
if this program works to point it inproves your bankroll,
dont you think they would be selling at $9.99......
imo its a load of crap just telling you on how they want you to play to make them more rake,

Im sure there are some things you can pick up from Excel-Boy, but from what I understand is he is a bot, now perhaps the site wants all its players to play like bots, no one loses no one wins..oh except the site..My thinking is his advice will be from stats, so if you had a run of good cards at a loose table and as a result have a large VPP/ aggresin factor/ pfr then he will be telling you to tighten up, not raise as muce etc, when in fact he will be unable to actually see why you played the hand the way you did, obviously doing that (taking his advice in such situation)would result in your profit going down.
It will IMO be very helpfull for those starting out, or losing players, but if you are a winner id go down the paid persoanall route, cant beat a good sweat session.
But any advice is better than no advice right.

maybe its good for newbies who dont wanna spend on poker coaching or analysis software but for old players its most probably useless. anyway you cant trust advice given to you by poker rooms cos all they wanna do is make profit.
