2 years of on-line and you rarely lose preflop with aces, like you have the magic formula on how to play rockets and others must be playing them poorly?? LOL LOL You mention you preflop is rarely beat and post flop the same, too top it off if you see a turn and river your even more confident in your cards ability to hold up. How about you check your ego at the door bingo boy, there are hundreds of ways to play any 2 cards and multiple factors during a game that causes a person to chose a strategy but somehow you can criticize others play, i must assume you have the ability to WILL them to hold up. I have played for 30 years and if you think this poker is dealt like a home game then your not good enough to know better, but i am sure you and elton john will make a good couple some day.... rocket man..

AA is a top pair and I always go all-in preflop, if you lose then Luck is not at your side for that day, but don't worry another you will be on the winning side.

Posted by IslandJack: Statistically, you will get pocket AA1 in every 220 hands dealt. Against 1 opponent, your odds are over 80%, every one knows that.
This will surprise many (it did me), but against 9 opponents, your odds drop down to 31% !! So you will lose more than 2 out of 3 times going all-in pre-flop against the whole table. Against 4-5 opponents, you're doing a coinflip at about 50%.
Because statistics is what it is, I'va actually gone more than a week of daily playing without getting pocket AA dealt. I've also gone a Month (!!) (just before I quit for a while), where my AA held up Pre-flop only 3 out of 10 times against 1 or 2 opponents. I've also been dealt AA 4 times in only 1 10-seat SnG!
There really are no surprises. The possible statistical combinations at a 10-seat table considering both value, colour, and seat position are SO huge, it's mind-boggling. (with some decent searching on Google, you'll find that it runs into Billions).
After really spending some time looking all that up, nothing really surprises me in what I see at the tables....ever....
So it suprises you that your odds drop to 31% against 9 opponents with AA pre flop Then i think you better not post to many things around here anymore This is so logical if you have any brain... When do you ever sit all in against a whole table with 9 players pre flop ?? Sertainly not i real cash games or cash tournaments or better real life
And still even if that happens and everybody goes all in pre flop you still win most times Then you win about 1 out of 3 for a pot of 9 all ins so its still profitable
So it doesnt matter you loose 2 out of 3 because if you win 1 out of 3 you make a profit...
And your coinflip for a pre flop all in against 4-5 player is also great As long as all the money goes in pre flop its all profitable You will win 50% of the hands to earn 4-5 times your stack at a time
