Like I sad earlier today I didnt play for 48 hours and I came back fresh and ready to own tables... And I did!!! Registered on two tournaments, first one break thru on PKR and second one Low roller also on PKR. I got busted from Break thru but I finished 2nd out of more then 500 people and won 135$ on Low roller... And I got crap cards during whole tourney but since I made that break I was patient enough to make good result. On final table best cards that I got believe or not was KJ and that was during HU, I shoved all in guy called me with 98 flop was 299 and that was my end but Im satisfied! Feeling good again...
So folks if you feel bad about your game, make a break, that is good...

Congrats on the low roller result - I've played that a couple times myself without cashing.. It's a great format - must have taken a long while to reach FT with the deep stacks.. So congrats on the patience too - especially if you're card dead..

Great result, good example that you dont need cards to go deep

Nice result , i agree after playing too much i sometimes feel poker-tired. I guess a break once in a while will help you with concentration and patience at the tables

well, thats for sure. to make it deep in an mtt you always nee a portion of extra luck. Thats why normally you finance your life by sngs and cashgame and mtts are just some bonus

You need luck and skill my friend. There was people with huge amount of luck during that tourney (and other tourneys too)... I didnt saw them on final table... You must know to pick your spots because it doesnt matter how lucky you are if you dont know to play and if you dont have right strategy and if you dont know right time to call and right time to fold and... sooner or later you will be busto...

what was that Chris Ferguson saying? about one hand beeing 99% luck and 1% skill, one tournament is 50 - 50 and one lifetime is 1% luck and 99% skill? something like that i guess

Glad that you are feeling better after taking a break Jovi. Every now and then we all need to change our focus and come back fresh, otherwise it can often be a downwards spiral.

couldnt agree more jovi...timing is everything...you don't need monsters to win everytime.
all you need to know is when you think you're cards is good enough and when you think you are in the right position to push them off the pot.

I totally agree with you on this. But taking a Break is not only good with playing poker, but also in other areas of our life. So if something goes in wrong direction, think of it and maybe take a break to get an other view on it. Often you wil find it very helpful.

good that you were back to winning ways after your break, well done on your 2nd place in that tournament. and agree that in tournament u need both luck and skill to make to final table but long term luck dont last long
