I played in a couple of these and that's all it took. All ins every other hand and RD 1's have two types of FR's 360 players they give 2 winning tickets and 180 players they give 4 winning tickets both to RD2. So there are weekly RD2's and tomorrow the field is over 3200 and today isn't over. So do the math this will take place until the end of April because May 1 at 3PM EST is the final FR and only one package deal will be awarded so that is going to be a long long long shot.
Plus there is a lot of talk that this interferes with the EPT being held in Spain the same week as when the Onyx Series starts in Vegas and the EPT always attracts the biggest names in the game. IMO I think this type of Series is getting out of hand now. Five Events costing 100,000-300,000 to buyin and the last event 250,000 buyin. Now I enjoy the WSOP and that is a 10K buyin + which is alot of money for a poker game. And FT's thing here just seems it's going to be more of a thing with millionaires throwing their money around and how will you really know who the best poker player is. Damn even some of the pros are scuffing at these 6 figure buyins. Also IMO it's jamming a lot of money down folks throats that enjoy watching poker living week to week and we are in a recession. Anyone that plays poker dreams of a big win like the WSOP or WPT but this Onyx Cup to me is taking it to the extremes.
