My great grandmother taught me how to play poker and blackjack at the age of 7, in order to teach me that when gambling with money it's often much easier to lose yuor miney than win it. I played with many family members at home for many years under the age of 18. We rolled dice at christmas, and played many dealer's choice pocket change game's. It was a usefull skill I found out, around the age of 20, when I began regularly lifting money from my not so well informed friends. Poker, and good descicion making when it comes to gambling I think is an essential skill to have. The sooner you teach him, the sooner he will be able to make educated deciscions. Can you garuntee he won't go try and play anyway? In this day and age you can't, wouldn't it be better if he at least had some knowledge. Maybe it's because I grew up in an irish catholic, drinking, gambling family, but I disagree with most of the forum members. Now, if I found out I lost online to someone playing under false pretenses, I would absolutely agree that the winnings are forfiet, but that's another subject. For now I'll just say i disagree. Say what you will. Evil

actually myself,i begun played cards when i was say 12yrs,kids cards games,,then i watched my stefdad played cards with our neighbors,,until i i learned so i told to neighbors same ages of me to play cards, and with money, well just by cent 0.25 , till i kinda famous in our place that i am good, hahaha ,even at school they called me "Queen's in card",,so yeah i agree with u hood about the sooner u learn is the sooner u can be a BIG WINNER!!!

IN THE CITY and IN THE PROVINCE is really different,,,u can easy do anything if when u live part of province,,,but if u in city more hard,to many of " DONT's"lol

That's sound advice, Mober I agree 100%. PokerGirl22 didn't mean the sooner he learns the sooner he can win money. I meant it's good to have knowledge, so that when you sit down at the table, you're not the sucker. Cool
