4th time in row! I play tournament for 4 hours, playing good, most of time Im in top 20, 300 people in and when blinds go up with 50 people (where real game begins) I can get fckn hand! And when I get solid hand I cant hit fckn flop! Unreal! So I play, play, play, lose 4 hours of my life and finish 11th! Tournament before that 12th, before that 13th, on tournament where winer takes (almost) all 2nd... BECAUSE I CANT GET FCKN HAND WHEN THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT! Or I get QQ and run into KK or I have better hand but lose on river... Four times in row just before final table! And every time lose 4 or more hours playing it! So, in this one I finished 11 out of 303 and won AMAZING 4$ (2,5$ buy in) FOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

At times like that I bet that you are reacting the same as your avatar! Unlucky pal, maybe next time it will work for you. What quantity of players are normally in your tournaments, you know, the ones that you have been cashing in to live off of?

Well, some times I play lot of those tourneys 200-300 people, 3-6$ buy in, and sometimes just SNGs multi or single table. It depends of mood that Im in. And yes, 1 hour ago I looked like my avatar

yea i know the feeling, i would play alot of the normal blinds 180 sngs on stars and they take 4 hours and then get donked on the bubble or make a min cash its bloody so annoying. I play 180 turbos most of the time now only take about 1 hour 50 min in general so if you get donked on the bubble its still crap but at least it dont feel like you been sitting there half your life for nothing or a min cash, should get into the multi table sngs turbos and i will prob see you at the tables

I don't really understand the MTT tournament games jovica! Could you briefly explain what the MTT is and how points for MTT's work or totaled for a player every month. Basically don't know enough to even ask the right type of questions pertaining to MTT information. Appreciate any info.
Also, sorry to hear about your recent poker experiences and long hours with no wins. It will change as soon as you help some poor inexperienced wanna be player! !!!!!!!!!!

not sure what you are asking green but a MTT is a multi table tournament and jovi's prob is hes in a bad run of bubbling the mofo's no points or nothing like that just a normal tourney hope that helps

Then does FT for example have an MTT leaderboard? I think thta's where I seen this and what are they tracking? I thought it showed chips, not $$ amounts. Do they monitor how many chips one has in an SnG! Hope this isn't to confusing!

Mate, every tournament that have more tables is MTT.All scheduled tournaments and sng with more then one table. For example, Full tilt freerolls are MTT.

Example; When I go and register to play $1+.10 SnG there's a topic underlined in blue that state"MTT Leaderboard Standings" when you click on it, it brings up a webpage with various MTT standings for various catagories. Low SnG Standings, High Sng Standings, etc. Then select any of these (Low for my SnG's since that's all I play) and a list of the players names will come up like 1st to the top 250. It shows them with so many chips. Am I still confusing you or do you know what I mean. Just go to any SnG and click on "Go to Tourney Lobby" you will see the blue MTT Leaderboard info. I just don't understand it.

yea you get that on pstars to, if you win sngs or mtt you get points and if you win alot you will get on they leader boards. its just like a league type thing, you get so many points for each tourney or sng. i did not know what you were talking about so yes your right but you have to be pretty solid to get on the ones either fulltilt or stars would not bother with that at the mo

Greenmojave, A $1.40 sng at FT will fall under their sng leaderboard, not mtt leaderboard. If you like sng's they have a promo called sng madness that run from friday to sunday afternoon in 2 hour blocks. Not sure when next 1 is but they are fun. You have to play tons to make their leaderboards. TONS I tell ya.

Same story here. At beginning i managed to get into the first 10 places but things started to happen as the way you described and after 5 or so tournaments in which i couldn't won anything i made the transition to cash games tables and finally found the type of poker that suits me best. So my advice would be to try cash games and see how it works out for you and if you want to stick to tournaments take couple of days of break and see if something improves. Good luck at the tables!

I so hear what your saying jovi. FTP loves to kill the best hand. Only site where I have great luck in MTT's is at PP. Last night finished 7th out of 11 100. FTP would of killed me long before that placing. Seems that ever since I cashed out, FTP has fckd my best hand.

@Grennmohave It´s pretty complicated for the Leaderboard rankings. If you go to the Leaderboard page, you´ll also see a page called Leaderboard Calculator. Have a look at that page, the methods are explained there.

Yep, if you get upset, or worried about losing chances are your playing to high stakes and this has a huge effect on your game. BTW if you cant hit a flop then take it down pre. Your time will come.

Not to skew jovica's thread from topic, but thanks! I see that it would require you to play about 30 SnG's a week and that's low scale. Also, seen the calculator board Island, guess they track by chips or something. Still need to do some reviewing to understand their (FT's) tracking methods. Thanks and Good Luck to All!

yeah sucks when u play 1$ buy in tournament with 3k people registered took 500place win 1,6~ DDD It sucks .. u wasted so much time for 60$ and big risk with nothing to win .. I am not playing MTT's try to play sng 6max or heads up it took less time and less skills if u r playing micro.
