Them % are way out.... Heres the actuall figures (from 2010) Across th board around 26% of players are winners. With RB deals etc it goes to around 33% of players are making money. Merge has 44% of its players as winners and is top dog for making winning players. The outher networks range from 20-30% being winners lowest at 17%

ya wanna no whats rigged? not really rigged but really dumb imo..was goin thro the tournys at fulltilt to see what was goin on and came across a 30cent 10person sng..top 2 get an entry to the daily 1$...y in the world would someone spend 30cents for a 20percent chance of winning 1$ lol the odds dont seem right to me?

My source was only dBigMac's post - but I must say b1gfoot - your figures don'y seem sustainable ?? Especially those Merge ones - I'm not saying you're wrong though - I don't think I've looked for those figures in a long time.. I Will look into it later on today though, for sure. You probably can't post your source due to the link violations at BRM I am guessing.
But I must say, if they are correct I find it incredibly surprising.. From anecdotal evidence (players I run into) the figures are certainly closer to dBigMacs - but that doesn't mean much obviously.

They are from sharkscope, (so possably/likely only sng and tourn stats), in short they say 1/3 of tracked players are winners, PTR is pretty much the same. FOr ring games lots of people have used datamined info with lots of results showing a 40/60 across diffrent stakes, that split gets a little wider the higher the stakes, actually getting a true figure is almost impossable, its unfair to call someone a loser after 10k hands when he could eaisely be a winner over 100k, and a winner on one site when he loses on anouther etc or dataminde 100k hands from 100 people vs 100k hands across 1000 people, a winner at NL25 and loser at NL200 the stats just bounce around. The tourn and sng go stats are solid stats. I know this is the wrong way to look at things but, when im playing and look at players stats I tend to find that around 1/3 the table are in the black at NL100 so belive the 40/60 split is a fairly accurate one as they used real stats and have been totting them together. The 5% is a figure that has been slung about for years as thats what vagas belive is the winning % of players there and somehow rolled over to online poker, but that 5% they talk of is a guess and applies to consistant winning players. The truth is I think we will never know for sure but can take good guesses for periods.

Maybe he´s just fed up with this bs. Im fed up with ft again and will quit playing there for the next 100 years or so. While talking about women - did you ever think this blonde bitch could be cheating when you were young? You couldn´t prove it for sure, but hell, sometimes it smelled. So you turned to that nice brunette and thats what I will do now. Want to have a minimum of sense in playing, thats just insane on this site, in my case. Will not say they just dont let me win, because I won much from freerolls and multiplied that many times, but cannot hold even in the low limits. There are too many bingo players at the tables and ft definetely contributes them. I even dared to do a small deposit to get a ticket for the 100k freeroll and this one will be my last on 5th Jan. Higher stakes might be tighter and maybe wouldn´t tilt me that much, but because I know that I am still not a complete player, I will not risk to try that there.

Ha, nosebleeds are for puppies and girlies. I burried thousands of them. I am still a dog at the table with pearlwhite teeth. I turned 90 cents into over 50 Dollars in two days. Just one out of many examples. Great winning streaks for a player who began with nothing more then his mouseclicks, a cup of black coffee in front, Iron Maiden in his ears and an idea in mind. But at a certain point the elevator just reaches stratosphere and falls back to earth. Seems I am striking against an unbreakable rule of variance at this point. Unfortunately most of the time, when I could step a stake higher. That kills the fun factor. And I dont want to face Phil Ivey Junior The Next Generation (IQ 220/Dads estimated income p.a. over 200k/Handhistories of last 5 years in his kiddy-tools) on a day when ft decides that I´ve won enough or too much for that time. But I learned alot there and wont be ungrateful. My losses are not worth talking about, if you only look at the amount of money. The freerolls are still great for beginners and thousands of other good things- ha, it´s just time to concentrate more on other rooms. Got a rake back offer from Merge. Tend to try this.

lol im not so sure about that, im in the red all over on micros but im up a few K on $2/4 i just dont play micro cash now i hate it but not got a roll to hit the $2/4 just now but once i do il be back. It suited my play much more, had a bash a little while ago on the cap tables but that shits nuts its absolute bingo because of the cap and killed me so staying away from that madness

Hm, I know it´s offtopic, but maybe we wont come together again, young as we are. What would you suggest to be the "best" level to enter the medium or high stakes for a standard tight/aggr. player ? I am not sure if I should give it a try. One reason is, I still dont know where the sharks to avoid. Otherwise it should be bananarama to me if beaten by a donk or eaten by a maniac.
