Can a regular PLO player look at this hand + tell me what you think?  0
I am not a regular PLO player, but I play occasionally and have done well this week. Last night I had a few tables open on my laptop when this hand came up on PLO10. I was pretty happy with the outcome, but thinking about it more I wasn’t sure if I should have stayed in. The situation was this: the player zorica88 was massive stack for that table, and playing everything aggressively. Preflop 75% of the table flat called which isn’t unusual at microstakes PLO. When the flop came out, Delok888 bet 3/4 pot, and zorica88 potted that, with nut flush draw, gutshot straight and redraw to nut straight I flatcalled (approximately $2.00), but Delok888 potted it and so did zorica88, so to call I had to go all in as well. I had Delok on not much of anything, maybe two pairs, and I had zorica on a flush draw, so I called. What do you think, why, and when you respond please let me know how much experience you have at PLO. Thank you!

Well, Im not regular PLO player but I think you did good thing. There is no way you could fold that hand with so much draws. And thing that you can triple yours money if you hit makes that call more easy...
That is my opinion and like I sad Im not regular at PLO...

Considering the size of their bets in such a pot you are almost 100% sure to face trips. So you are most likely underdog on the flop when those guys are all in but not much though. You are holding a monster draw hand but it is only good if you get your needed card and (avoid) pairing the board.

obviously an action flop. for sure at least one of the two has flopped a set - if the board pairs all your outs are gone. but at cash game i have no problem with the way this hand went... you had the nut draw(s) and the chance to triple up - i would call/push here anytime. big stack has flopped the best hand, sure he doesnt go anywhere, middle set guy also thinks hes good, cause this other guy seems to be a maniac... so chips in the middle and... the winner is always right.

i recommend to give PLO8 a shot if you like PLO.
and then Double Omaha Smile

Thank you for the responses guys. When I played this I was pretty tired as normally I spot these telltale signs of flopped sets, but I think the maniac's aggression threw me and the other person off. I really had him on a second nut flush draw. About 15 minutes later I got into a big hand with the maniac again. He flopped set with middle card, I had gutshot but the price was fairly cheap to call for one more card ($1.66) but I knew that if it landed all hell would break out and - got it! Doubled up again on him and finished that hand at around $72.00! Smile

hey buddy, nice pot!

You did not play the hand wrong , in fact it was them who played it all so wrong and bad. Now what i have learnt playing PLO all hese while is that sets must be played cautiously according to the flop, on a flop like that with 3 players in, it is very likely that someone has picked up a monster drawing hand(like yours,mate!)...potting and re-potting on the flop just gives you better odds to make the call!

Word of advise, if you had top set in this situation, always good to make the move on the turn instead.....if the drawing cards hit, you can still keep the pot small enough to see if it pairs up on river, if a safe card comes on the turn, then your set is miles ahead and you can get aggressive there and see if they still wanna call with their draws...

well, this is how i play my PLO.....GL guys

I don't play much PLO - but I think the money goes in every time on that flop.

Yep. Against two opponents we are priced in here. But of cause we are doomed if the board should pair, even if we make our flush or straight.

Good thread, i recently also strated to learn pot limit omaha but on play money for beginning. However one thing is sure, all the time players raise before flop with a decent hand, like a pair or two pairs, a double suited hand or a very connected hand. In this situation you did right and a very good play. You also had the nut flush draw and also a gutshot at 9. On that board usually players go all-in with a flush draw(maybe K high since you had the nut), also a gutshot(not too often) but definately with any set. On a well connected flop that allows many straight possibilities you usually think twice before going all in with your set in the idea of making a full house on turn or river. I usually have shaved it all in if i had pocket quenns in my hand. Anyways you played the hand really good, and that was a really nice pot.
Good luck at PLO!

I don’t play plo much but with that kind of draws in my hand and two people already in pot im gonna put my chips in and hope I dnt run into a fullhouse. U hit it and won a nice pot, sets are usually dangerous to be played aggressive.
