hmmm the thing here is not that you won the hand and picked his bluff but whether the reason you decided to call his bet was correct or not ?
to pick a bluff using weak bottom pair on a dangerous board requires super good read. you had to be sure that he had nothing not even a 9 and that he was not good enough to mix up his play.
if u didnt have a good read then that was probably a bad call, you did get lucky and won the hand because other player played it bad too.
but honestly based on that hand, i think you are just a calling station. Blink

thanks for your advice mohdrof, its means a lot. words from seniors.. usually from their experience.
dozn01.. it just an achievement... good.. but still not good enough to play cash game lol..
tried couple of times but lost.. at least now i know.. freerolls are just places for us to sharpen our skill. cash game need far more experience b4 i dare to play..
we can not use the same style of play in both games.if we do.. lol, may be we get no 9 or 10 out of 10 players! thats my experience.. lol

n e way.. thanks everybody

He called me loser, donkey & moron for calling with 4 & 6.
But was I the loser? No, I was the winner. I did not see any sign of straight cards when it were K,Q & A.

Hi Not2under............Welcome to the forum.

I totally agree wij Island Jack, but will also add that you did not play that hand very well irrespective that you won it. Anyway GL to you and try to ignore the rubbish that comes out of some peoples mouths. On FTP you can actually turn off observer and table chat or mute individual players. I don't often comment on a play except if I think someone has played a hand very well. Then again sometimes people do not understand you and still get a bit nasty. My advice is to play your hand your way and if it is profitable GL to you. If not think again.

GL to all you mobsters........................

Sometimes you get the feeling and call with what one may consider Donk cards and hit. We've all done it and we've all lost to it. It's part of playing poker and sometimes you hit with poop cards and when this happens you can be consider the donk. I believe a true donk is one who constantly calls with nothing and seems to get lucky with back to back donk hands. Then again, when is it consider a good bluff or a donk move?

Like you stated, you won this hand, but how many times would you play a suited 4,6? Myself, not very often! Good Luck to All!

After reviewing all of the above comments, i realised that how donk was i in playing poker.
May be i was just lucky in winning few cents in freerolls tournaments.
Honestly, i was previously a facebook poker player & learned 2 play poker from there.
However a fb pokerfriend suggested on playing in a real world. He said, 'why r u addicted playing 4 fun while u can earn real money?'
Now i know why seniors in PSO called me Mr Bingo coz i like 2 call 4 straight even smaller cards.
But 1 scenario that i always see is donks always win in initial stage.
I think 1 out of 10, i can try to play donks way.
I will change, i promise. Not 2 be a donk forever. May be once a while.. but a Nice Donk..
Thanks all Mobsters that help me change my way of play..
Now I am playing Pokerstars weekly round 2 tournament with 5k chips & 70 players more 2 go down for 1st 0.42 cents..
Wish me luck & Thanks..

No

sorry..
that 'no' should be on other chat room..

Why would you say something to donk at all? It's good point - we shouldn't. Let him think he actually plays good and you'll be the one that wins in a long run, so @not2under is right, but it's not just about being nice, it's about taking advantage of donks. If you'll call him donk after every stupid hand he plays he might realize, that he actually 100% sucks and was lucky, so he will change his style. And you wouldn't benefit from the fact, that he was playing with crap.

Well, we're here to help each other, aren't we? Smile Good to hear that you actually can win something in this donkments Big Smile I've got 2 tips for you when it comes to freerolls.

1) you have to be patient, not only when you play. Don't get to excited when you win something, because some people win .40-.50 in freeroll and immediately are going to play a .10 SNGs (well, .12 right now Tongue). Don't ever do this! Be patient, build your bankroll and when you decide to play for this money then make sure you are playing with bankroll managment, perhaps you'll need for example not 30-35 buy ins, but even 50 to feel comfortable. Just be patinet, maybe it's free money, but it's still money!
2) in those freerolls you just need to play ABC poker. If you don't know what I mean by ABC you can google it, but generally it says that you need to play only strong starting hands and you don't really need bluffs or some advanced and spectacular shoves. But here we are back to #1 - you have to be patient. Playing ABC in freerolls can be frustrating, because it takes quite long time to win something and you can bust just before bubble against some donk (well, not only when you play ABC Tongue). But you don't need to mix up your game at the level of freerolls or even micros. Play just simple game with strong hands, no slow playing and you'll do even better in those freerolls.

in poker it's important feeling that u have about hand... i used to call players all in with 10 7 suited because i had that feeling that its my hand and i cracks aces,kings,etc... And in your situation he was a donkey because if u raise a pot size in 90% situations player bluffs..

Loosekiddie,

I agree those statements.. but unfortunately after receiving the Stars money, I straight away played 0.12 360 players.. 3 times & dead..
I never thought of building bankroll.
Anyway, thousand thanks for that advise.
From now on, I'll do as what u suggested.
Hope someday, we'll meet in those buyins???

Thanks again.

Greetings not2under and welcome to BRM.

I think we've all seen this many many times. People are always angry
when they lose, and always look for some one else to blame.

I probably wouldn't have called, but hey, you can't just let people walk all
over you either.

Good luck.

Lol, I don't think so and by this I mean that you'll get there faster than I could on PS Tongue Everytime I win something on PS I've got "fun mode on" and I just can't play with bankroll managment rules Smile (it actually sounds like I'm wining there often lol) This site has bad influence on me Big Smile But maybe when I'll win something next time I won't bust in 30 minutes Blink

But there's a chance that we'll meet in Facebook tourneys on PS Blink

Also now on PS micro SNGs have huge rake, e.g. this .12 has 20% rake, which requires huge ROI if you want to become winning player. So now when you start with nothing you have to be more patinet than ever.
