Looks like the parent company of the two poker rooms is going bust. They fired more than 300 of their staff, and will file for bankruptcy protection in Norway, where the parent company of the parent company is based. Doesn't look to good for player balances. (Can't post the link here, butt papa Google will do it)

From hero to bust... Its also been reported they have a serious network encryption vulnerability (open the thread can outher players see my cards) Players max withdraw of $250 p/w, shocking I bet they are still taking new players. I find it amazing how sites like these go bust, how can rigged sites go bust

Well I also read about this. Glad that I don`t have money on these sites. But Iam afraid that these rooms will not be the only ones which will get in trouble

Makes me wonder if this is why Phil left UB. Maybe he knew something was up there. Also makes me wonder if Absolute is trying this to get out of this court battle with the US Gov.

On sites like 2+2 people offer very huge VIG on transfers (saw a guy posting he's offering his $2560 on UB for $1K on stars etc.). The players that have got most of their roll there are def. in trouble now

I agree. I tried Absolute Poker a few years ago on a free bankroll and was less than impressed with their software and customer service. Emails would be answered with a generic reply that didn't address my problem, and when the bonuses that I was supposed to be reaching through points weren't being honoured I went for broke on an omaha table and ... went broke! Never felt the urge to play there again...

Im lover of UB! I know about scandal and stuff but I really enjoy playing there! Mtt tourneys made me nice money and Im now regular at 5$ SNG HU there. Hope this is false alarm but I still withdrawn my money after reading this. Maybe they fired workers because they need less of them couse there are no more USA players

Good chance you won't see any of your money. They filed bankruptcy yesterday and their payment processor announced that they will not process any payments anymore. So unless some other site buys the network (which is pretty much like buying a broken Computer/TV/anything that you can't repair anymore) no one who has money there will get it

Hmmm this is starting to look very bad, i also stopped playing at AP after the big scandal a couple of years ago. But i never was a fan of their software and promotions anyway. Much strenght for the people who still have money in their AP and UB accounts, don't think they will see it back.

There is too much info about this in order not to be true so Ultimate bet and absolute poker is officialy done. Now the big question is if players will be able to recover any of their money back, but i imagine each player should open a process with the mother company in order to be able to recover something. Players that had over 10.000 dollars in their accounts it's clear that it's worth the fight but for those than only have couple of hunders dollars the cost of the process will be a lot higher than the money you should recieve back. It was clear this newtork will bust soon considering it only had US players, so once those are gone the traffic was down a lot and with no more rake the company of course was going to bust....
