Are "Hits" in Affiliate section just clicks or unique IP clicks?

Clicks, but based on cookies as far as I remember, so if somebody clicks your link multiple times within the same few minutes, it should only record as one click.

No, because you could have 5 computers on the same IP address visiting within the same few minutes and they would count as 5 hits, since they're different computers. But it's unlikely you get that many hits from the same IP within that short timeframe.

Depends on the browser. The cookie will be removed when the browser is closed, so if the browser is closed in between, it will count as a new click.
