Iv noticed since i came back (after a few weeks away) that BRM has become less active not as many new threads or replies to threads where are all the regulars havnt seen hoodi,BMWman,greenmohave an alot more in the last few weeks where u guys at??? hope to see you all soon and hope all is ok. maybe BRM need to offer more for our american friends at us friendly sites to keep the us members here i know a few lost heart in poker after black fridayi think they need some aniciative to stick around.
any1 else noticed less activity do you know where the regulars have gone?

Summer is approaching, the players from the US are doomed, the WSOP is running and there are rarely new offers here. No surprise that the traffic is quite low.

i was going to do a thread about this there is lots of people you never see these days prob due to all the freeroll and rigged threads. IslandJack, Shymoster (think thats spelled wrong) jazzyJeff and even doomdy never see him these days say anything not that he was a man of many words but really quiet these days. DaMessiah to not seen him forever and loads more

It's very normal for forums to go up and down in activity levels based on regular users, sometimes they just need a break and sometimes they found other interests and they might not come back again - but then other people come around.

I was going to say exactly this. Eb & Flow really - some of the people OP listed are not even long-time members.. Theres a few of us (degens) who stick around and almost always have a presence - although sometimes breaks are taken. Then theres always a few people the come by and are VERY active for a few weeks/months and then disappear again - only to be replaced soon-after by new members who become active in the same way..
At any rate; agreed it always wanes due to various reasons.

I guess our american friends show less activity, because of the fact they can´t play on most sites. If I were in the same situation, I guess my forum activity would also be lower. What shall I talk/discuss about poker, if I can´t play it ?

agree with above comments that forum activity varies considerably during the year. as and when there is a nice promotion like christmas calendar. forum gets more lively but most of these people dont last long and a no of reg have gone awol over the time

Hmm, I guess there is few reasons for weak activity in last two months. There was days when even I didnt write anything But Im sure I will never (never say never) stop writing here. These days is less then 10 posts a day sometimes but I still check this forum at least 3 times a day...

Don't know about you folks, but sometimes I get tired of poker and stop for a while COMPLETELY, then I return, and then I get tired again. Just like economy ... it has ups and downs, but never dies

When i was 3 months withouts typing here i still appeared and checked the forum without conecting my account. I guess i got back to the forum because of this less activity (but more interesting and with more quality). The thing is much activity its just for numbers and doesnt mean better quality, and the regulars here knows that there are only 20 (+-) people that comes here and its worting putting some atention on them. We all like new people, but what we really like is when the new people brings something new (some fresh air to the forum) and not the spam/idiot threads that appears here most of the times from the newbies.
I hope you guys dont get offended with me but its what i really think about the less activity in the forum lately.

the only reason the forum is slowing down is because of black friday, but rest assured im sure the US government will find a way to tax it directly and make it available again

can i ask a couple of questions please,
first off what do u mean when you refer to freeroll and rigged threads?
and about black friday, i get the jist of it the us government want to tax the pokersites because of all the money they are taking out of the us economy and sending it abroad, but what does it actually mean for us players? ie can they not connect to the likes of pokerstar ftp etc or can they just not deposit from us bank accounts?

Those guys just withdraw their online bankrolls and went to Las Vegas to play the WSOP. Last year we heard about lots of regulars that used to go there at WSOP time, for online gambling vacations - making it real in the right place Some of my portuguese friends have also gone there last year, but i dont know if they went there this year, dont have much contact with them last days. I think thats the main reason for less activity, but dont worry. Those who stay here writing should also be taken in consideration, for feeding the machine!

Freeroll is a game that has (normally) cash in the pot but you dont have to pay to play, normally restricted in some way and tend to have crazy players as it is free.
Rigged is a term bad players use to convince themselves that they are good plays and believe they only lose due to the sire "rigging" the deck.
Actually black friday is not about tax,.Its a little complicated but the short and cur lies are, USA passed a stupid law, some sites said screw your law, to try and get around the law they broke another law which was worse than breaking the first, actually allowing FBI to take over/start investigations....A lot lot more to it than just that. Black friday was simply the closing of doors to US players at the biggest sites, poker is legal for the US and they already pay taxes on winnings.
