Hi, I was wondering about music and poker... do you think that playing with music is better? Do you listen some music while playing? Which music?? I Think it could help to play without tilting to much...

It's a good question I normally play a lot of tables as playing one gets very slow and boring at times but yesterday I was watching the tennis so i played one table and put the sound up so everytime it was my turn to ace i got a sound telling me. And to my surprise it was really good so maybe instead of playing so intense I should relax a bit more find something else to take my mind of the bordom bit and for me it was less stressful. But I guess it what works for you so if you find music helpful go with it I seen a lot do it in live play to so must work for some.

I think a similar thread was posted a while back but i can't find the link right now, and the general answer is that it's not indicated to listen music(especially house music) while do you play poker, because it's affects your concentration
Now it really depends on the person, i have friends that say they are playing better when they are listening a good music, but i really think this is a personal choice and depends on your person
Personally i don't listen music while i play poker because i can't concentrate too good on the game, i actually turn off the speakers, since i don't even want to hear the sound of cards and chips provided by the poker platform, but again this is a personal choice of mine

Sry, I wasn't trying to do spamming and didn't know... As I said in other thread I'm on bankrollmob for almost a year... but wasn't till a week ago that I've entered in this forum...

I used to listen to music while playing, but since I started playing 6-12 tables at a time I try to be really focused. One of my favourites used to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert they did at Woodstock '99. Stevie Ray Vaughan was another fave.

I try to listen to as much music as possible...nothing fresh and in your face but something that helps me think, relaxes me maybe.. Personally i find that it helps me zone IN rather than out of the game, it focuses me on the task at hand..which, as it happens is Aqs vs an utg+1 minraise.....

I listen to music most of the times, nothing too much noisy relaxing music. Some times it helps some others it doesnt. Cause sometimes no tilt can be eased while listening to music or using any other technic.
lol..I think its best just to concentrate on poker..and max two tables...BUT I am really bad to follow that rule myself...always 3-4 tables,television on,a dog who needs to go for a walk...Do i have to tell that is not giving a positive bankroll ...But when I make cash,its the same scenario..always at night in the silence

I always liten music when i am playing internet poker. I recommend Ten Sharp, Phil Collins, Sting , The Cars, Michael Jackson, Barry White, James Brown and ofcourse the 1 and only Stevie Nicks!
