Sitting on the button with 7-8s, an early raise of 3bb called by one other player gave me a chance to see an inexpensive flop with two of my favourite drawing cards. So when the flop came 456 rainbow what could be better right? Especially when your two opponents start raising and reraising each other, I figured one of them had trips and I hope the board doesn't pair up, but look at what happened!

Very unlucky sir. But this is poker and why its so challenging game to beat. In tennis the best player 99% of the time always wins but in poker they dont.
Haha, well said Tormulainen! To me the guy with 10-10 should've re-raised pre flop so if he gets re-re-raised he can fold... But still there wasn't any big mistake in that hand, just very ugly turn & especially river for you. I wonder what's the % of it coming out concidering you're holdind them, must be VERY small! Exactly! I didn’t want it to be a whiny crying kind of thread as all of us have experienced bad beats of all kinds. Things like flopping set versus top pair top kicker, and the board goes runner runner flush for the villain. Or my favourite, making the nuts on the turn, getting all your chips in the middle versus the villain, and the board pairs on the river to give full house to your opponent against your nut straight/flush. But when the hand was over and I saw that I had my opponents soundly trounced and they lucked out and got their chips back, all I could think was SH*T! That would have been a sweet gain for that session! Gotta let these things go, they happen to all of us.
