AQ is a better hand especially on freerolls as much people shove with nothing and if u call u are generally ahead 90% of the time

it depends on your opponent and how betting goes from here
with AQ if you hit your flush/ straight and board doesnt pair you win a big pot.
with QJ if another brick comes up you have 2nd highest flush but many times will bump into Ax so will lose a big pot.
if u dont hit strt/flush q high is more or less useless here.
but if you have to go allin at flop qj better than Ax as more outs against a made hand though you toast if u bump into Ax Smile)

Well, if someone calls Axs then he calls Axs in every suit, doesn't he? Also he calls hands like JT, KT, KJ, often both suited and off. So you have noumerous combinations that are behind you if you hit your out. There are 9 Axs that can beat you via A-high flush, but there are also 27 Axs that won't (and I think most of the time on that board you'll get called by AK or AT in different suits or even offsuit) + many other hands vs. which you can play and still have +EV.

Of course I'm not saying about situation in freerolls - I don't think that it's a good way to say if hand is worth soemthing or not, because in freerolls people are playing only with their hands and if you ask them if they know what "hand range" or "card removal effect" is most of the time they gonna look like this -> Confused.

.

FYP Blink
so kinda important when you put your stack allin , most of the other Axs will fold if theres three bricks already on board.

Asking me for preferences i had to put AQ because i would faster go all-in pre-flop with AQ instead of QJ. Looking at the case you present, its quite a decision: QJ gives you more odds than AQ so, in that case, with that flop, QJ is better.

i like to look at poker hands and think about what hand i would like best in that situation and flop. i find it helps me play when i get into those situations...some of them can be pretty tricky as im still on the sidelines on this hand..i think in many cases i would prefer the jq..unless tourny lifes on the line with big buyin. then id rather the aq and not over play it til i get the goods
