Do you use "Last Updated Threads" (forum) ?  0
INTRO:
At our "Forum"-overview page, we have 3 sections:
* "BankrollMob Forums" which lists the subforums we have
* "Last Updated Threads" which shows the last 10 updated threads
* "TOP 5" which shows various top 5 information.

SUGGESTION:
We would like to remove (or change) the upper part of the Forum-overview page, "BankrollMob Forums" with the subforums list and replace it with a much larger version of the "Last Updated Threads", showing maybe the last 20-30 threads.

Why? Partly because with a long "last updated threads"-section, threads will "live longer". If somebody posts a question in a new thread and 15 other threads are updated pretty soon thereafter, the new thread will fall down / out of the current "last updated threads"-list and might never get any attention.

QUESTION:
What do you guys and girls think? What do you use the most? Do you go into each subforum to check for interesting thread, or do you scroll down to the "last updated threads"-section to get an overview of ALL updated threads and look for something interesting?

Any other suggestions or comments are welcome - we wanna make it easier for you to use our forum Smile

I mostly use last updated threads, it takes longer to enter every topic.
The idea of expanding the "last updates" is great i think.....would make it easier for me Big Smile

jeah i use them 2. aehm admin is it an error in my brwoser, or are there white boxes in the top right and left corner of the page?

EDIT:
was it updated a minute ago or what? Because now there is a new banner in the top ^^

Nitsco, there SHOULD be the banner with the "smoking cigarette", but the background (behind the flash banner) is a static picture. And yeah, we made it smaller (less height), so it's a bit different. As for the 2 white boxes, try to reload your browser. It might try to take the old flash-banner and resize it to the new height, that would probably mess it up a bit.

Maybe it's an idea to make a 1,2,3.... page with all threads

For the "Last Updated Threads", is it possible to list upto 20 threads (next page or something)?

One more good thing to have is bookmarks, something like my subscriptions, however with no emails for updates. Or at least have an option not to send email.

i think most users only use the last updated threads so they can get a instant feed back so the change makes every sence

youre2good4me,

Yes, the plan is (probably) to make 2 or 3 pages with "last updated threads" so it's possible to back quite some time to browser. And then, some place and some how, a list of the subforums so people can go directly into a subforum if they would prefer that.

I allways use last updated threads 'cause that is the easiest way to find "best" threads.

I am also using the last updated threads because the most recently information is available there.

Yeah we're gonna do something about the "last updated threads" section soon. Increase it and maybe make it 2-3 pages.

i'm using the "last updates threads" only. 2-3 pages is a little too much, isn't it?

I'm using it too, all the time, and i agree with djbuddy that 2-3 pages is a little too much..
