ipoker network withdrawal  0
I was wondering if a lot of sites on ipoker network switch your withdrawal to cheque without notifying the player. Long story short, I made a second withdrawal on RivaPoker, specifying VISA as a withdrawal method. The first time around, the withdrawal went through without any problems. For my second withdrawal (last week) I used the same withdrawal method, and it was processed, however, I just noticed that in my transaction history the withdrawal was switched to a cheque. FYI, a cheque is not even an option which appears on this skin, nor is it mentioned as a valid withdrawal method on their website. The approval email looked like this:

Dear XXXXXXX,
Thank you for choosing Riva Poker!

We are happy to inform you that your refund with the code XXXXXXXX has now been processed.
Please note your withdrawal details for the sum of €2,000.00 :

Riva Poker support team.

So, there were no withdrawal details at all were provided in the email (I only saw it in my transaction history from within the software that it is a check). I am wondering, if that now means that I will have to wait for 4-6 weeks for the check to arrive, and additional 4-6 weeks for it to clear. Does anyone have any experience in the amount of time it takes to actually receive money on the account when they issue a cehque. (either RivaPoker, or other sites on ipoker network)?

lol, that too Smile . But, seriously, I am a bit peeved that they switched to a cheque. If I knew that I would have chosen wire transfer instead. Thats why I was wondering if that sort of thing happens a lot. (Longer clearing time means money sits on their accounts for longer accruing interest, which could add up to quite a bit if they do it on a regular basis.)

The best thing would be to contact their customer support and find out what happened. I usually use Moneybookers for withdrawals form iPoker and have never had problems with this, only the usual processing times. Welcome to the forum, hope to hear more posts from you soon. Smile

thanks for the warm welcome. I am waiting for their online support to actually come online, thats why I posted here... (Used moneybookers couple of years back, but they seem to have a big issue with one of Spains biggest banks (La Caixa) - the bank does not allow them to deposit or withdraw gaming transactions into customer accounts, which is pretty bizarre - their UK based customer support at the time could not even explain to me properly why it couldnt be done back then)

-------- Few years back moneybookers even had an account for customer deposits with them, but after relationship soured, I think moneybookers switched to BBVA

-------- lol, that brought back some memories. I remember trying to validate my account with moneybookers (I think they needed a small deposit to do it). I tried to make a transfer using online banking and it gave an "unknown error", which never happened with online banking. Then I tried to make the same transfer through an ATM machine, and that seemingly worked, but 5 days later the money was returned to my account, moneybookers never got it, even though all the account details were correct.

How this happen. I do not understand. It is your money.
Some poker rooms are too clever to do the wrong thing.
There is something in the air smelling bad. Confused

Weird problem indeed and i never encountered this type of problem, not even on ipoker to be more specific, where i have an account on titan poker Confused

Probably the fact that you tried to withdraw more than 1000 euros made them to change the method of payment but it's just a supposition, normally this kind of things shouldn't be allowed...

Did you checked out the visa withdraw limit by the way, i remember on full tilt poker was around 2500 dollars per week, maybe this could be the problem and decided to send the money via check Confused

I am not sure about the VISA limit, but my 1st withdrawal was below 1000. This recent one was 2000 + 1000, so 3 k in total, but both were processed simultaneously, and both were declined for VISA and approved for cheque, which I can not even pick myself as a withdrawal option. Online support is still not there, and I still find it strange. My total deposits amount to about 800 euro, the 1st withdrawal was about 650 (which I received as multiples of my deposits as a refund on a VISA card).I was thinking that maybe VISA withdrawals can not be more than the original deposits, but I am not sure.

P.S. I did go through the whole validation process as well, had to send send proof of adress, CC ownership, etc.

If its a prepaid VISA card you should know that many of them have a limit that you can top up.
You should ask with your card issuer to let you know about the limits.
I dont know if that applies to normal VISA's too.
No matter the case they should warn you first before changing the method.
Probably you will pay a fee there too.
Some sites during cash out mentioning that if they are unable to process the money with the requested way they will change it to check.

On an unrelated note, this is a reply I got from another site about cheque withdrawals (still waititing for official Riva reply):

Dear Dmitry,

Thank you for your reply. We are pleased to inform you that
exceptionally, your cheque was canceled and $800 converted back to real
money chips onto your account.

In order to cash out to another payment method, you will need to first
add it as a new payment method, make a deposit (minimum $5 depending on
the one you choose) then add it as a withdrawal method and request the
withdrawal to this chosen method.

If you need the precise instructions to set this up or if you have any
concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reply to this message.

Kind regards,

Luke

British bookmaker Ladbrokes became to latest European gambling company to launch into the Spanish betting market on Wednesday, stating it plans to open 70 new shops by the end of the year.

Ladbrokes, which has a joint venture with Spanish gambling terminal maker Cirsa, said its first shop will open in Madrid in about a fortnight.

I am sorry to be ressurecting this thread at this moment, but I do start to get suspicious. Recap: I asked for a withdrawal to a VISA card on Riva Poker on the 7/11/2011. On the 14th it was approved; it was not until the 18th that I noticed that from the software the withdrawal was changed to what appeared to be a cheque (not one of the withdrawal options on this site). I was trying to reach online support for a while, but finally gave up. On saturday 7/30 I decided to call customer support, and managed to reach voicemail, there I left my query. On sunday they called me back and informed me that the withdrawal was actually processed to my VISA card, and not the cheque, on 7/28 (they also told me that 4 working days is the max for me to expect to see my withdrawal). When I asked if such a delay was normal they told me that it was probably caused by their security team but there is nothing to worry about. On monday, 08/1, I did manage to contact online support (chat), I was again reassured that the withdrawal was accepted by their handling agent on the 7/28. At this point I asked why the icon within the software was changed to a cheque, and was told that I shouldnt worry about the way the transactions are represented in the software. I have used other poker rooms before, and never I had such a long delay in VISA withdrawals.

On the same monday (08/01) I sent an email to Rivas bonus program, asking to exchange 2500 points to $5 (now is the evening of wednesday and still no reply). (Last time I exchanged bonus points to cash was in may, and I got a reply within 2 hours).

I am getting increasingly worried about my withdrawal, as it was 2 transactions worth 3000 euro in total (Riva is on ipoker network).

I will try to wait for a bit more, but I am wondering if I should contact Malta gaming authority (their registrar) soon.

3k euro is an amount that makes you worry even more Smile
Havent heard about problems with any site from iPoker network but you never know.
Its better that you use Moneybookers or neteller to be more secure and have way faster transactions

ive withdrawn from quite a few different ipoker sites and had no probs getting my money. I do like ipoker as there are a lot of fish on there but some of the badbeats can be horrendous. Twice on ipoker(circus Poker) ive lost with Quads Queens to a Royal Flush but they do decent some freerolls during the week if your a tight wad and not wanting to despoit

I dont mind depositing, but I am recently looking to social networking sites to figure out the better ones. I was burned too many times with 1st deposit bonuses, where they limit your withdrawal to 10x - 15x original deposit. I wonder if most of these sites use the payouts which they dont pay (which are over their 1st deposit limit) as a measure of the payout for the rating agencies, so as to boost the payout percentages.

Hmm, it sounds like a poor support to me actually, i mean if someone has problems is one thing but from what i see there are a lot of complains...

I'll be sure to avoid them in the future although i have very good feedback from other ipoker poker platforms, here i'm talking mainly about titan poker Smile

Hope you'll solve your problems soon Blink
