Normally I don't slowplay anything unless I really feel I have an unbeatable hand, so in earlier action when the pot was raised slightly and I was in middle position with AJs I called. When the flop came down JAJ and one of the blinds bet out a small amount, I figured I would go with the flow thinking he had trips vs. my full house. When the board paired up again and he shoved I thought he had made full house jacks over threes and here I come to scoop the pot but... NOT QUITE! Good thing it was only NL10!

My favourite slowplay was the time I raised with QQ, got a couple of callers and flopped Q6Q for quads. The button had 66 and had flopped fullhouse, and I slowplayed until the river when another 6 came out! He shoved, I called and that hand was a lot sweeter than the one above!
Dat's de game, sometimes sh*t happens when you play enough hands.

Yea happens sometimes. Slow play man times is a pain. That freaking river doesnt forgive. Besides the slow play though there are callers even to pot bets or all ins and the outcome is the same. For example you go all in after the flop and a guy like this one with the 3's calls anyway. Thats where you get real pissed

Yes thats So unlucky to get runner runner 3 to make quads has to be 300 to 400 to 1 shot assuming 40 cards left both 3 3 are there 20 to 1 times 39 to 1. But I have seen it before but still amazingly unlucky.

Sometimes the thing just do not works. I have some experiences too. Nowadays I just follow my instincts and play. All the time I have a good play, but sometimes I wish blow them up off the table. Sorry for that

Ouch, that must really hurt actually, and i think that after the first 3 hit the board you should have probably shoved all in...
I don't know the dynamic of the hand but i think he should have went all in after he got the first 3, and probably the last one would never come on the board lol
I think you can safely say that this is a bad beat, it's good that this things don't happen very often and if you respect brm you are okay

Your hand was clearly strong enough to be slow played. Just bad luck that your opponent made runner runner quads. Sometimes tricky play bites us in the a**.

Ha ha, that's a good lesson for sure. Sorry to hear, must have been enraging, did you tilt at all?
It's funny one of my friends was watching me play and kept asking me why I raise with AA and KK preflop, he was thinking you've got them beat don't scare them away. The next KK that came around I just called. Sure enough 4 players, one got 2 pair and I lost $15 with my over pair. At least I got to say matter of factly, "That's why".

Well seeing it that way - if you didnt slowplay you wouldnt have gotten any more value off him. You played it well and got sucked out - shouldnt bother you too much Results don't matter too much as long as it was a profitable play, and in this case it def. was
Yup, you played it perfectly, you just got very very unlucky! The only other hand that could beat you was the rockets and you probably didn't put him on that so what can you do!

For sure. I sometimes slowplay AA and KK in early position, hoping for a raise so that I can launch a big reraise. When nobody raises though, watch out! Sometimes as an overpair it will still work out, but sometimes the blinds will hit two pair with trash so you really have to be careful.

I think for most that doesn´t even happen in a lifetime.... Bad news...
@mahdrof Crazy hand, but nothing to be done. Definitely a "slow play" hand if I ever saw one. Just a crazy turn and river.

Well its not the slow play always. Sometimes its your freaking luck. I went all in preflop last night in a freeroll with AK suited, i got a caller and he shows AJ FLop comes KQT so i got excited , then turn comes T and im thinking no way, but.... river was T too. lol I got pissed but i was laughing too Poker
