On July 26th at 09:00 GMT, the Alderney Gambling Control Commission will be holding a public hearing to address the issues surrounding Full Tilt Poker. Evidence will be made public, and the future of the company will be discussed.

AGCC
The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) suspended the licences held by Full Tilt Poker on June 29th. Since then, the company has been unable to operate in any capacity.

Full Tilt entered a three week period of exclusive negotiations with a prospective investor on June 30th. During that time, Full Tilt was not allowed to negotiate with any other parties. That agreement expired on July 21st.

On July 26th at 09:00 GMT, the AGCC will be holding a public meeting regarding the future of Full Tilt. It will take place at the Park Plaza Victoria Hotel in London.

According to the AGCC press release:

"The purpose of the hearing will be to make public evidence from both AGCC and Full Tilt regarding the suspension of Full Tilt's licence and to adjudicate the findings transparently.

The Executive Director of AGCC, André Wilsenach, said: 'AGCC's choice to hold a public hearing in to the future of Full Tilt Poker demonstrates our willingness to act transparently and we will welcome members of the public and the media. As ever at all times, our primary concern is the protection of the player.'"

It is anticipated that the hearing will provide updates on both the current status of Full Tilt's licence, as well as the state of their deal with prospective investors.

Yeah, but I really miss the site and the software.
If they DO get their license back, that means they can pay the players and should run things differently.
So I´ll give it a go again.
Just a question of keeping a minimum bankroll and cashing out your winnings.
Not too many steps satellites though, a waste of time if you have to lose it all again.

The software can only go to some other "ownership" since its nothing wrong with it and was a big part of fulltilt's success. and the problem in the us is not online gambling from my point of view. everyone is saying crap to the US gov and stuff on how they'r trying to kill poker and so on when the issue is just as simple as this: tax evasion. if those smartheads at fulltilt weren't so greedy this today wouldn't be happening.

I´d obviously prefer it if the europeans bought FT, but it looks like that fell through.
New ownership would be "some" guarantee.
but the software still exists and is some of the best in the business, so it would seem unlikely that it will never be used again.
Like I said, if old management gets to run it again, just keep a minimum on the site, no?

FT was a good site but even if they do reopen whats the likelyhood of it lasting 24hrs with everyone withdrawing their $...total meltdown..... Blink
